Chapter 25

Obanai took off with Tanjiro to chase after Muzan. Tomayo and Yushiro also agreed they should leave. "Wait!" Akari called out to them. "Don't you want to walk into the warm sunshine as humans?" she asks, Tomayo thought about, it and became very emotional because this has always been her dream that she knew couldn't become true, but right now, she knew it was more than possible with her master, Akari.

Akari whispered 'Eighteenth form: removal of curse', and suddenly Tomayo felt a sense of relief, as if all the weight and stress were lifted from her shoulders. Judging by Yushiro's reactions, that was also what he felt. Meanwhile, Tanjiro's eyes were glittering with hate as he sprinted, hot on Muzan's trail, leaving dust behind, and Obanai wasn't too back either. Tanjiro picked up the swords left by the students and flew them at Muzan in anger. 

Akari sensed that Obanai was gone, and narrowed her eyes, slightly confused. Meanwhile, Muzan was obviously in a state of irritation at Tanjiro's persistence and his throwing the swords at him, aiming at his vital parts. Suddenly Obanai appeared above, and it seemed he had used Akari's flying leap as an attack, and pierced his curvy sword into Muzan's neck, surprising and probably giving him seven heart attacks.

Akari was tending to Giyu, and when he came to consciousness, they spent their time cuddling each other and Akari whispering comforting words into his ears. Akari senses Nezuko waking up and running towards them, her hands covering her eyes as if wounded. Nezuko is then hit with flashbacks of all her memories. Zenitsu handed her flowers. Inosuke is is dropping acorns. Kyojuro is is looking back.

Suddenly Muzan stopped, and Akari realised that Tomayo's drug was taking effect, but Tanjiro took it the wrong way, he started edging towards Muzan, which was a very bad decision. Muzan exploded and Tanjiro got knocked back. The impact was huge and Akari was a tiny bit impressed, although that was the best Muzan could do to defend.

Inosuke was breathing heavily and Akari offered to help him. Inosuke ignored her, and with heavy panting, he started attacking Muzan once more, more ferociously than ever. Suddenly, all the fully healed hashiras, stood up to face Muzan. Akari noticed that Tanjiro couldn't even stand up, and using a flying leap. "Ara ara, Tanjiro san!" she says and softly gives him a mint, which he swallows quickly.

He stood up, bowed gratefully back at her, and sprinted to join the others in the fight with Muzan. "Akari!" Muzan mocked. "Why don't you join your friends in their death?" Akari blinked twice and smiled. "You're way too weak for me to go, after all, you're going to be killed anyway!" She said it in a carefree tone, but it made Muzan bite his teeth, making cracking sounds.

"Aww is poor Muzan angry? I'm sorry do you want some mochi?" Akari mocks and Muzan leaps behind her and uses all his arms to attack her, Akari moves a step to the right and dodges all of the arms easily. Muzan tried again, and Akari grabbed one of the arms, and the poison spread quickly towards Muzan. Muzan in fear, used one of his arms to chop it off, only for the poison to be spread to the other arm, meanwhile, Akari was laughing in amusement.

"What's wrong Muzan? Got your hands tangled with a simple position?" she sneered and Muzan grabbed one of the katanas impaled in his neck, pulled it out and cut his arm off. After this, he blew a sigh of relief, knowing that the poison was away from him. Tanjiro and the others crowded around Muzan and slashed him with attacks and breathing forms while Akari moved back to see the drama.

Akari sniffed, looked at the horizon, and smelled the fresh air. "You know what the air smells like?" She asked Tanjiro, Tanjiro sniffed the air but didn't know what it smelt like. "What is it Akari san?" he asks and Akari looked at Muzan while replying. "The sun rising," she smirked at her reaction to Muzan. The irises in his eyes turned smaller, and he widened his eyes, letting out a quick gasp.

Akari felt a ripple of strength in Muzan's muscles, and she warned the other hashiras that something was going to happen. Just as Akari said, Muzan sent a huge energy wave, knocking all the hashiras away, and making Tanjiro lose an arm. Suddenly, Giyu came from behind Akari and joined Tanjiro in holding Muzan into the wall. "GIYU SAN!" Akari shrieks and Giyu murmurs to her that it will be okay.

"Shut up Giyu, you're not okay, I'M COMING!" Akari calls, and to Muzan's complete amazement is that in the blink of an eye, she joins Tanjiro and Giyu. Giyu blinks with affection at Akari, and she smiles in return. Muzan bites his lips, and Akari realises he is thinking about a plan to shield him from the sun. Suddenly he swells up and Tanjiro is being sucked in.

Akari pushed Giyu away and pulled Tanjiro out quickly, and meanwhile whispering 'Third form: Body Muscle growth', Tanjiro's arm grew back, and before Giyu could run to help both of them, Akari dragged Tanjiro and Giyu out of danger, completely ignoring both of their cries of protests. Suddenly Muzan's body swelled up even faster and turned into a giant baby.

"Haha, that's exactly what you are!" Akari calls out to Muzan. "A giant baby!" Giyu and Tanjiro smile, and Muzan shrieks angrily. Suddenly a bunch of students gathered and Muzan swiped at them. Akari waved her hand, and teleported them to safety. Beside her, Tanjiro and Giyu both relaxed a little bit. "Now let's go and kill the big baby." Akari says, and sprints towards Muzan, with Giyu and Tanjiro hot on her trail.

Gyomei used his chains to wrap around the babie's head and Giyu murmured 'Tenth form: the Dragon of change', and a magnificent dragon appeared. "Giyu! Where did you get that from? It's so pretty!!" Akari complements, and Giyu gives her a smile before being serious again. "Why so serious baby?" Akari teases, and Giyu looks dumbstruck at the fact Akari just called her baby.
