Chapter 26

Sanemi unleashed some attacks, and after everyone's good collaboration, Muzan finally died, everyone was crying and so happy. Akari on the other hand, sensed it wasn't that easy, and she knew that Muzan wouldn't die so quickly, and if he did, he may as well transfer his evil to someone else, and that someone would be Tanjiro. Akari sniffed the air and proved her theory was correct.

Giyu looked at Tanjiro, his eyes filled with tears when he saw he lost an arm. Nezuko saw too and screamed "Oniichan!" and charged towards Tanjiro. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," Akari says, and Nezuko ignores her and sets Tanjiro. Akari shook her head, and in the blink of an eye, she teleported everyone close to Tanjiro away. "I said I wouldn't do that if I were you," she whispers and Giyu looks at her weirdly.

Tanjiro looked up and his bloodshot eyes could be seen. Akari could hear Muzan whispering into Tanjiro's ears, "Destroy the demon slayers for me.", Tanjiro smiled and stood up, drool coming down from his mouth with baby fangs. Nezuko rushed to him once again, leaving Akari blinking. "NEZUKO HE'S A DEMON, HE'S NOT YOUR BROTHER!" Akari calls out, but Nezuko ignores her once again.

Akari shakes her head and watches as the scene unravels in front of her. Akari was bored of the scene and sensed Kanao with some highly dosed antidote. She smiled and appeared behind her. "Kanao, I see you've got the antidote," she whispers, causing Kanao to fall to the ground in shock. "Where did you come from?" She squeals and Akari shrugs, her eyes full of amusement.

Kanao smiled, sprinted towards Tanjiro, and injected the antidote into his body. "Please work!" Kanao thinks, and Akari hears. Akari teleports into Tanjiro's consciousness and sees him arguing with Muzan. "Can I join?" She asks and Muzan looks blankly back. "Hey there Akari!" Tanjiro greets her happily as if all this is according to his plan. "Can I go home now?" he asks again and Akari smiles.

"There has already been an antidote injected into you, give it some time," Akari explained calmly, and Muzan looked slightly worried. "Please don't leave me here Tanjiro..." he begged and Akari looked a little bit sad. "Don't worry, you'll eventually get out too," Akari says, and then Wisterias invites Tanjiro, and carries him up, and Akari jumps out of his consciousness.

Tanjiro opened his eyes, and to his surprise, he saw his family surround him. "Mother? Father?" He cried and he saw that Nezuko was cuddling Rokuta, and he started crying, for his dream had come true, and his eyes were watering with happy tears. Everyone sighed with relief and everyone started helping the ones who were injured and also the ones who were unconscious.

"Well," Uzui says, clapping his hands together, "Now that is taken care of, Kyojuro, wanna join me for a drink at the usual bar?" He asks, and Kyojuro rises from the floor joins Uzui, and leaves. "WAIIIIIIIIIT!" Akari says, and rushes towards Uzui, and blocks them. "Can I join y'all?" she asks, smirking and Uzui cocks his head to the right. "Haha, sorry you're underaged," Kyojuro exclaims and Akari glares at Uzui.

"That's okay I understand," Akari says, smiling "But lemme give you a gift Mr Tengen," she says cheekily. "Oh sh!t, this doesn't sound goo-" Before Uzui could finish, Akari elbowed his. "Yep, not good." Uzui winces. Kyojuro laughs and leads Uzui away, whispers something into his ears, and makes Uzui hug him tightly. "Well, now they're gone, let's go and find a place to live," Giyu says as the two best buddies disappear.

"Don't worry, I've been in the demon corps for some time," Akari says and gives Giyu a smirk. "And how long exactly?" Giyu asks, and Akari bites her lips and counts. "About fifty years," she says and Giyu laughs. "You're set for life!" he jokes and Akari laughs. "Yes, I am! Now let's gooooooooo!" Akari says, and then squeals when Giyu picks her up and carries her. "This so fun!" she squeaks loudly and Giyu laughs loudly.

"I'm going to accept a job at the Kimetsu Academy!" Giyu says, and Akari laughs. "I heard that their students are cr@p at P.E.!" she jokes, and Giyu straightens up, his eyes blazing excited. "I'll do that!" he jokes and walks back to the estate where the last meeting of the hashiras was held. "Wait, but I'm not a hashira!" Akari says, and Giyu looks at her. "yeah, you're being paid to exist!" he exclaims sarcastically, and Akari looks at him blankly.

"We finally have defeated the demons, after so many lives at risk, and many people getting injured," Okayta says, and all the Ubuyashiki family bowed down. "Raise your heads!" Akari and Giyu call out quickly followed by Sanemi saying "We don't need your thanks!", finally they rise, with happy tears. "We should be thanking the Ubuyashiki family! If it weren't for you, the Demon Slayer Corps wouldn't be a thing!" Giyu exclaims, and all the hashiras nodded in agreement.

"You've all done well," Okayta says and looks super teary. "Now, the Demon Slayer Corps is disbanded, and now ends the last ever Demon Slayer meeting ever." Okayta finishes, and all the hashiras bow in thanks and exit slowly. "Well, it's lovely to know that I finally can stop being a demon!" Akari says, and grabs a poppy, and inhales it, and she turns a tiny bit blue before all the blue specks fly away from her, and into the morning sunshine.

"Hey, Kyojuro, I need to go buy some cookies for my wives," Uzui says and walks out of the bar. "Okay, best buddy!!" Kyojuro exclaims enthusiastically. Suddenly a shy figure moved towards him. "Hey there! What's a pretty young lady like you doing here alone?" He asks, and she blushes, her baby-blue eyes glinting. "The name's Okami," She says and Kyojuro smiles. "I'm Kyojuro, and I'd like to get to know you better."
