Chapter 22

"They're gone!" She announces and Sanemi inwardly relaxes, then refocused and stares at Kokushibo with pure hatred. "Demon!" He spits, "How dare you try to kill my brother! Pathetic really, I will slice you up and torture you while you beg for forgivance." Akari nods, and Kokushibo glared at both of them, and unleashed his attack of the moons, and Akari jumped so high it looked like she was flying, and dodged the attacks gracefully. Sanemi, unlike Akari, dodged by lunging to the floor, and shakingly stood up again.

Kokushibo unleashed more attacks and Sanemi started attacking, Akari didn't know what to do so she just stood watch, and flicked the moons away from herself whenever Kokushibo tried to attack her. Suddenly, Kokushibo covered his eyes painfully and started backing away. Sanemi smiled, then she saw a glowing figure. He looked back and a familiar face reflected in his eyes. Masachika Kumeno. His friend that got killed.

"You've made me proud," Masachika says affectionately, and stroked Sanemi's face, full of blood, and magically the blood disappeared. Sanemi bursts into tears, and embraced Masachika, and Akari looked behind, smiling. "Please don't leave me, again," Sanemi begged Masachika, and he looked at him, full of affection. "Believe, me I'd stay forever," he said, his eyes full of tears, and looked at Akari, as if asking for permission.

Akari smiled, and Masachika, wiped all of Sanemi's blood off, and sadly said goodbye. "I'll come back, sooner than you realise." He promises before fading away. Kokushibo finally regained his sight and Sanemi stood up too, and Kokushibo looked at him with surprise as he saw that he had no more blood on him. They started fighting again, Akari notices that Sanemi's power and strength was getting higher and higher, but still wasn't enough to kill Kokushibo.

Suddenly, Uzui, Kyojuro and Gyomei rushed in and immediately saw Kokushibo. "So you ditched us to join your gang to go tease a Uppermoon 1?!" Uzui says, glaring at Akari and she shrugged. Gyomei didn't say anything but started a series of attacks on Kokushibo. Suddenly, a hole appeared from the roof, and Genya, Muichiro fell down. "What the fu¢k do you think you do are doing?!" Akari and Sanemi scream in syncronisation. Muichiro and Genya looked at Akari with hostile glances. "Remember how I swallowed your DNA?" Genya starts and Akari groaned, facepalming herself.

"You could've hurt yourself! Teleporting is still a forren concept for you!" Akari scolded and Sanemi glared at Genya. Sanemi looked at Akari and they both exchanged looked, and nods. "If you can't stay away from trouble, we're going to come with you." Sanemi said gruffly, and Muichiro and Genya looked at each other, questionably. Before they could ask what they meant, they all were swallowed by feathers. But before Akari dropped a feather, which turned into a cat. Muichiro and Genya glared at Akari, but suddenly Genya disappeared, in a flock of feathers and Akari's eyes widened as she saw Muichiro smiling.

Using her consciousness, she turned her concentration into the cat and saw Genya charging towards Kokushibo, swallowing Kokushibo's hair, and shooting him with his gun, now full of eyes, just like Kokushibo's sword. Suddenly, Kokushibo got trapped into a plant and Genya looked happy to be of use, but Akari realised that if Kokushibo dies then Genya would fade away too. "You stupid idiot!" She telepathically says to Genya. "If Kokushibo dies, then you'll die too!" With that thought Genya's eyes widened in fear.

"Eat this!" Akari telepathically says, and the cat throws a mint, and perfectly lands on Genya's nose. Without hesitation, Genya consumed it quickly and his eyes turned slitted like a cat, and jumped so high that it looked like the moon was behind him. Before Genya could turn back into the fighting, the cat dragged him into an open portal which Akari opened, and before Genya could protest he was infront of Akari and Sanemi who looked very sour-faced.

Before Sanemi could unleash his anger a crow with a weirdly marked card on his head cawed. "Uppermoon one defeated by Kyojuro, Uzui and Gyomei!" Genya looks proud while Sanemi was just glaring at him, meanwhile Akari was wondering how in the world the crow found him. Akari stared at the ceiling for a bit while Sanemi was lecturing both Muichiro and Genya, and then Akari realised that it was the weird card the crow had above its head.

"In conclusion, you're both idiots that have a skill of headbutting into danger, and almost killing yourself mutiple times, and don't even care what your siblings have to say about it." Akari spats, her eyes teary, as if a dominion reaction but Muichiro, Genya, and Sanemi all started looking teary eyed. Akari's eyes narrowed as she sensed many young students coming closer to Muzan and sweared.

Sanemi looked confused, and Muichiro realised that there was something bad that was going to happen. "You, are staying here to protect these two." Akari says standing up and crashed through the walls to were Muzan was. "Everyone clear out-" Before she could finish her sentence Muzan attacked all of the young students, killing them within the second. "Haha, how do you like that?" He spat, still angry at her roasting him. "Don't prey on younger souls, you're so pathetic." She spat back.

'First form: Mint cyclone', Akari whispers and a cyclone of mint, washed the whole bloody landscape, and all the students opened their eyes, and gasped. "Like I said, clear out!" She cleared her throat, and waved her hand, and all the students got engulfed by feathers. Muzan was about to attack when Giyu and Tanjiro arrived in the scene. Tanjiro looked surprised by Akari being here, whereas Giyu just looked neutral. Tanjiro glared at Muzan, thinking about all the people who were killed because of Muzan. His mom, sisters and brothers, just thinking about it made his blood boil."Tanjiro," Akari hears Giyu whisper to him. "Calm down. Calm yourself down." He repeats, and Muzan scoffed. He started arguing back about humans and how persistent they are, and how it sickens and makes him so bored. Akari was so bored that she legitimately let out a yawn. Muzan glared at her and hissed "What's so boring about this?". Akari ignored him, and Muzan continued to roast Tanjiro about his death of his family. "Muzan," Tanjiro finally said. "You are a being that should not exist." He finishes, his eyes staring blankly at his own world. Akari laughs and Muzan's eyes flared, he was getting ready to attack.
