Chapter 14

"This kid makes enemies with everyone!" Akari thinks affectionately. "Giyu san, you're so cute." Akari says squishing his cheeks, and Goyu batted her hands. "Just a heads up, Muichiro is battling an Upper Moon five right now," Akari says, and Giyu nods and puts his finished bowl to the side. "This is delicious," he says licking his lips. "You go when you need to, I'm sure I'll be fine." He says smirking and Akari pinches his cheeks playfully again. She checked up on Muichiro and found him stuck in a giant watery pot.

"It's time for me to go!" She said and waved goodbye before disappearing in a feathery cyclone. Muichiro was struggling and looked a little bit confused when Akari appeared. "So, Oniican, looks like you're stuck in an awkward position." She says smirking and Muichiro groans. "Out of everyone in the whole damn world, it had to be you," he said, roughly. Akari waved her arms around in a watery manner and the pot exploded into feathers that cushioned Muichiro from his fall.

"You welcome LITTLE brother." She said, and Muichiro looked like he wanted to strangle her. Kotetsu came, and a 'demon' came charging after him, Akari just looked at the demon and it disappeared, fading into hell. Muichiro and Kotetsu looked at each other with pure shock and Akari posed with a love heart. Suddenly Muichiro's eyes looked pale and Akari knew he got all his memories back. Muichiro finally came back from the present and he narrowed his eyes. "Muichiro you were so humble, I have so much respect for you, even though we aren't blood-related." Akari says slowly embracing him, and Muichiro looks teary-eyed.

"If only he didn't-" Muichiro says a tear spilling out of his eye and Akari decided it was time for her to be the bad guy. "Stand!" She says and Muichiro looks surprised by the change of tone. "Stand, fighter, the past is in the past, there are so many lives on the line, you can worry about the past later," Akari says her face didn't match her tone because she was getting teary-eyed too. Muichiro wipes his tears off and stands up, straightening his back. "You bring Kotetsu back to safety I'll take care of Upper Moon 5." He says and Akari nods, leading Kotetsu to safety.

After checking Kotetsu for any wounds Akari was relieved that he didn't have any. "Dang this place doesn't have bodyguards, they're all dead." She said sadly, and used the breath of a cat to bring them back to life. She then dropped two feathers and two cats appeared. "These two kitties will protect you." She says and the two bodyguards looked at each other like it was a joke to them. "I'm a hashira, you'll be fine with these two tigers," Akari says and with that, she jumped into a water portal and appeared right next to Muichiro's side.

"What the FUDGE!" Muichiro said screaming super loudly and Gyokko looked super amused but also terrified. "Oh pretend I was never here, I'm just seeing how crappy Gyokko is." She says smirking and Gyokko still looks horrified. Akari transformed into a cat and jumped onto a very tall tree, her eyes can be seen. Muichiro roasted Gyokko so much that Muichiro saw that Akari's glowing eyes were full of amusement and she was barely holding back roars of laughter. After killing Gyokko Akari looked super amused. "Same old Gyokko, getting killed by a fourteen-year-old that didn't even try his best." Akari smirks and Muichiro laughs. Muichiro lay down on the ground and Akari lay down next to him.

"You're body doesn't feel healthy," Akari says and Tokitou also came and realised the same thing. "I'm FINE." Muichiro insisted before spitting out foam. Suddenly Kotesu came and gasped at the sight of Muichiro's foaming mouth. "Yep, foam coming out of your mouth. The demon blood art entered your blood, you are DEFINITELY OKAY." Akari says sarcastically, handing him a mint. Muichiro gratefully takes it and swallows it quickly, and the effects are almost like magic, the foam disappears gradually and Muichiro flexes his muscles. "Nice abs," Akari says and Muichiro blushes and playfully slaps her shoulder.

Muichiro consciously covers the part where his abs are showing and Akari laughs. "I'm guessing I'm going to have to sew it when we go back to the headquarters." She amusingly and Muichiro cracks a smile. "Let's see if your skills are enough to follow me." Akari smirks and jumps from tree to tree, somersaulting and twirling around. She jumps branch to branch, as agile as a cat. After a few minutes she was a kilometre away, a single speck on the far horizon. "Sh!t! I lost her!" Muichiro says, although he was super surprised by how fast Akari was.

Suddenly a huge watery hole appeared from under him and before he knew what was going on, a watery hand grabbed him and he was pulled under. Muichiro was unconscious and he knew the feeling like he knew the back of his hand. His head was throbbing and he wanted to stop it so badly. "Muichiro?" A voice came from the darkness. "Muichiro?" The voice came again, and Muichiro opened one eye and groaned. When his brain caught up with what was happening he unsheathed his katana and looked around, and then put the blade back into his belt when he saw Akari's worried face.

But Akari's expression from worry turned quickly into anger, like the calm before the storm. She slapped his face. "Oww! What was that for?" Muichiro complained and Akari looked like she was about to cry. "You should've told me you couldn't do it!" Akari says, tears taking control of her eyes. "No, I'm sorry, it's my fault, you just defeated an Upper Moon 5, fudge! FUDGE! I'M SUCH AN AWFUL SISTER, AHHHH." Akari says and starts hyperventilating. "You're not, I'm sorry I wasn't a brother who always protected you." He said, feeling the tears creep up in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, I was foolish to think- I didn't think, I took you for granted." He said sobbing and Akari cuddled up with him, both sobbing nonstop. "I took Yuichiro for granted, and I knew the gods wanted me to make up for it, so they sent you, but I've failed- Failed to be a good twin and a good big brother." He said choking noticeably. "No, that's not right, here let me take care of you, I made simmered radish dressed with sweet miso, especially for you," Akari says, and Muichiro bursts out crying again.

"But I'll never be good enough for you." Muichiro says darkly, "I bet Muzan was a better brother than me." He growled and Akari narrowed her eyes in hatred. "I. Have. No. Such. Brother called Muzan." She stammers, her eyes shimmering with hatred. "You know what," Akari said furiously, and from the air magically grabbed a pocket knife and cut a wound in her arm. "What are you doing?" Muichiro said, panicking. "You'll see," Akari said lightly, and somehow her tone convinced Muichiro. Akari pulled out the bloody kimono Muichiro was wearing in his 'private training'' with Akari and wrung all the blood into the wound.

"There, I made that I'm you're sister, we're blood-related now," Akari says lightly and Muichiro swore that his jaw dropped to the ground. "What about Muzan's blood?" Muichiro asks, and Akari smiles weakly and doesn't say anything, She looks like she has vomit in her mouth and she runs outside, jumping from tree to tree, and adding a few flips for the fun of it. "Oh no, I'm not losing her again." Muichiro thought and ran as fast as his legs could carry him, and he was satisfied with his speed, but Akari was still far away.

Finally, Akari stops and Muichiro comes Akari opens her mouth and blood leaks from her mouth. Muichiro looks in horror, he has never seen this scene in all of his life. Suddenly, Akari walked towards her mint garden and started vomiting blood and Muichiro screamed in horror. "Imouto-chan!" He says in cold dread. "Are you dying?" He rushes to try to do something useful but a wall of feathers stops his path, and he realises in his terror that Akari is stopping him from helping her. "Please!!" He begs and tries to break through the wall of soft feathers. "I can't lose you too!" He saw that Akari had vomited almost all the blood out, as the last drop dripped to the floor, Akari straightened her back and smiled back at Muichiro.
