Chapter 27

10 years later...

Akari's phone beeped and she opened it. "We're inviting you guys to join the most flamboyant place for a meet-up, at nine in the morning!" The text read, and Akari immediately guessed Uzui was the host. "I can't wait, Mr Flamboyance, see you there!" Akari texts back, and Uzui texts back a thumbs up to signal that he has seen her text. Akari looked at the time on the clock, '6:02 AM' it showed and Giyu was sound asleep next to her. Akari suddenly felt nauseous and fumbled the draws for a pregnancy test.

She first went to the bathroom and applied the liquid to the test. As the test was detecting, Akari was tapping the table nervously, because she wanted to be pregnant, they'd already tried eight times. She glanced back at the test and almost screamed, there displayed in front of her were two lines, meaning she was officially pregnant. Suddenly vomit clouded her throat and she ran towards the toilet to vomit in. After an hour, Giyu was up, and he was surprised to see Akari awake already, and also dressed.

"Sweetheart you're up early!" Giyu exclaims and Akari smiles, handing him some pancakes to eat. "Uzui has invited us to a party, at nine am today," Akari says, pushing her phone towards Giyu to show him the text. "Cool. I'll go get ready." Giyu says and goes into the change room. He walked out with a fancy suit and smiled at Akari's squeals of admiration. "Giyu san is looking extra handsome today!" She purred and Giyu blushed a deep red colour. Akari suddenly felt dizzy and fainted in Giyu's arms.

"Akari?" Akari heard Giyu's voice and opened her eyes, still a tiny bit dizzy. "What happened?" She asks and Giyu explains that she fainted. "Oh, that's normal for the stage I'm in," Akari says and Giyu looks at her weird and Akari facepalms herself, remembering that she didn't tell him. She asked him to follow her and showed him the pregnancy test. "So... you're pregnant?" Giyu confirms and Akari nods. Giyu blinks for a little while and then bursts into happy tears and keeps repeating "I'm going to be a father!"

After a little bit of celebration, they looked at the time, and it showed '8:20 AM' and they decided to go to Uzui's. Akari grabbed a huge bag of champagne and gifts and set off with Giyu by her side. "Welcome flamboyant princess and her prince!" Uzui boomed and Akari smiled, giving him the bag. "It's good to see you're so healthy today!" Akari says and Giyu nods in agreement. "You guys are early!" Uzui says, and Kyojuro comes to greet them too. "Haha, Kyojuro is even earlier!" Akari teases, causing everyone to laugh.

Suddenly a shy figure came behind Kyojuro and looked up. "Oh, I haven't introduced you to Okami yet!" Kyojuro exclaimed and pushed Okami in front of him. "Akari, Giyu," he said motioning to both of them, "this is my wife, Okami," he says nodding to Okami. "Okami, this is Giyu and Akari!" He finishes and Akari shakes her hand, and Okami smiles warmly. After people started filling in, Akari and Giyu went into the guest room to get comfortable.

Giyu goes off to get a drink when Shinobu comes next to him and smiles evilly. "Ara ara Giyu san!" She purrs and pins him on the wall, and teases him before forcefully kissing him. Giyu squirms and tries to get away, but his hands are pinned on the wall, and his legs are useless. Akari walks up to them and she looks confused and Giyu blinks. "Haha, darling, are you cheating on me?" Akari jokes and Giyu suddenly looks horrified, and Akari smiles, and Giyu's expression relaxes as he knows that Akari trusts him.

Shinobu was edging towards Giyu, when he disappeared in a cloud of feathers and appeared next to her. Shinobu looked confused but so did Giyu. "Kochu, don't mess with my husband. You can mess with me though, I love a battle between words." Akari says, and Giyu smiles. After a long day of partying and updates, everyone starts filling away. Akari told Giyu that she'd stay back to tidy up, and he could go home earlier.

After Giyu kissed him goodbye, and left. "Why are you not going with him?" Uzui asks, and Akari answers it was because she was helping him tidy up. Akari ignored his protests and started tidying the guest room, and then the kitchen in a very quick manner. After finishing tidying, she bid Uzui and his wives goodbye and walked down the road. She hummed a soft tune and walked towards her house, and she stared at the moon hanging in the sky.

Akari came into the house and realised something was wrong as soon as she stepped into the house. "Giyu darling? What's wrong?" She calls and Giyu comes out to greet her. "Nothing is wrong sweetheart, nothing." He says but Akari narrowed her eyes. "Come on, we've been a couple for more than ten years, I can read you like a book!" She says and Giyu forces a smile. "So tell me who it is?" Akari says while fussing with her bag. "It's nothing, just a little argument with Kochu," Giyu explains but then he puts his hand on his mouth.

"Kochu eh? Is it by any chance Shinobu?" Akari asks, tightening her grip on her bag, and the expression on Giyu's face explains everything. "I'm going out." She announces and Giyu shakes his head. "Please it's nothing." He says but Akari ignores his cries of protests. She stormed into Shinobu's place, with Giyu trailing hopelessly behind. Akari knocked on the door and Giyu begged Shinobu not to open the door. To his disappointment, Shinobu opened the door with her usual fake smile.

"Akari!" She exclaimed, "How lovely to see you tonight!" She purrs and Akari returns to Shinobu with a glare, Shinobu looks back at Giyu and realises that Akari knew. "You told her!" She growled at Giyu and Akari glared back at her. "I hope that you know that my husband has freedom of speech, and you don't control him!" She spat, her tone full of poisonous hatred. "I hope you're not taking sh!t about him because there is no way that is true, my husband is perfect and if you have lies to spit, keep it to yourself." Akari continued and Shinobu looked at Giyu with bloodshot eyes.

"Please your husband isn't an angel, more like a depressed, antisocial nobody!" Shinobu said, with a cold tone. "See more lies! I'm sick of you and your lies! You know, you're just not pretty enough to have such an ugly personality." Akari says, and Giyu forces himself not to laugh. Before Shinobu could reply, Akari dragged Giyu out of her house and strutted triumphantly back to their house. "Thank you, sweetheart, for telling me, I didn't know Kochu was still angry." Akari purred and sat next to him on the couch.
