Chapter 17

"You're so sweet! I'm a demon though, you don't need to worry about me." Akari says softly but Giyu shakes his head again. "Demons may have regenerating skills but as hard as they try their heart is like humans." He says quietly and Akari stared into hgis mesmerising blue eys. "I promise," she says swearing on it. "After ALL demons are defeated, I'm going to abandon immortality and have kids with you." Akari says and Giyu nods, hopeful tears filling his eyes, as he pictures her with him, side by side with kids. The picture was beautiful that Giyu was barely holding back happy tears.

"On second thoughts," Giyu says barely whispering. "I'm going to train students, for you." Akari gives him a small smile, although it didn't look that much, it was so pure, no fakeness was behind it. Giyu must've also observed that because he kissed her on her blushing cheeks. "Maybe- just maybe-" Akari says, cheekily. "I'll go and teach students too." Giyu laughs at her cheekiness and pats her head softly. Akari felt her eyelids dropping, and she realised for the first time she was feeling sleepy, she hadn't slept for all the tiem she was here. Giyu saw that Akari slept on his shoulder, and he smiled quietly, and picked her up and put her in his bed softly.

"Good night my love." He whispers softly, and to his surprise he felt his eyes felt droopy too and without hesitation, he slipped into the bed, going with Akari into a restful sleep. "Giyu?" Giyu felt a prod in his shoulder but ignored it, hoping it would go away. "Giyu!" Giyu felt another prod on his shoulder, a little bit harder. "Leave me alone." He groans, trying to grasp as much sleep as he could. "GIYU!" The voice said harshly and Giyu opened his eyes and saw a blurry Akari shape. "Wha?" He says, sleepiness clouding his mind. "What-" He said stumbling with his words. "What time is it?" he says, trying again. "It's already sun high!" Akari explained and Giyu eruptly sat up, then the dizziness came crashing down and he feel backwards with a splat onto the bed.

"I am not getting up," he said groaning and Akari looked a bit worried. "Are you sick?" She asked, boiling a mint tea for him. "I wish-" Giyu said sadly and Akari playfully slapped his face, lightly. "Don't do that!" She huffed. "You scared the hell out of me! I thought you were sick! You made me boil this tea for nothing!" Giyu smirked, and downed the tea in a few gulps. "Well not for nothing, this is good tea." Giyu complements and Akari laughs. "No but seriously," Akari says trying to say it with a straight face but a smile crept up her face. "Remember yesterday you said that you're going to train your successor!" Akari says and Giyu put his hand on his hand to smother a groan.

"I regret that totally." he says and Akari shrugged. "If I'm doing this crap, you're going down with me." he said darkly and Akari narrowed her eyes. "No promises." she says cheekily but Giyu forced her to agree. "Frick, you're as annoying as hell." Akari says grumpily, giving Giyu a playful swat, and Giyu easily dodged it. "I'm not training my 'successor', I don't believe that sh!t." Akari says, stretching herself like a cat. "You know what?" She exclaims loudly. "I'M GOING TO TRAIN NONE OTHER THAN THE HASHIRAS!" Giyu glared at her, and told her that was the crappiest idea he has ever heard.

"Fine, I'll torture the poor students." She said angrily and pulled Giyu out of the bed, and Giyu sighed and went to his position and a flock of people came to his training centre. "Good luck!" She said teasingly and gave him an air kiss and Giyu pretended to catch it. Akari blushed brightly. "Could you come here and mentor these people with me?" Giyu asks. "Thought you would never ask!" Akari says brightly and happily joins Giyu. "Okay students today you will learn...." The whole afternoon, flocks of refreshed people come in and exhausted people come out of the training centre. After a productive afternoon, Giyu and Akari went to see the others train, first one was Uzui who was incharge of basic stamina training

"Slow, slow, slow!" A voice came out and Akari smirked when she realised it was Uzui. "Your stamina's as low as hell!! This is basic training man!" He says angrily, Akari thought he looked pretty hopeless. "If you're gonna be this slow, beating a upper moon is gonna be a dream within a dream, okay?!" Akari threw a feather to catch his attention and he caught it in one hand. "Akari can you believe it?" he huffed. "These people's stamina are super close to sh!t!" he screamed loudly."Ara ara!" Akari exclaimed loudly and looked at the people in the crowd. "I don't know what to say about that." Giyu huffed along with Uzui. Akari chuckled at the synchronisation of the huffs. Akari grabbed a whip from thin air and swept it across the crowd and they started jumping up and down, slowly but the steadily the speed got faster.

After ten minutes of this, Akari smiled and congratulated everyone and the whip faded in thin air. "They're all yours." She says grinning evily, showing her fangs and Uzui narrowed his eyes in suspicion and started ordering them around again, Uzui realised that their stamina had increased rapidly. "Okay what the hell did you do to them?" Uzui says grinning of satisfaction. "Magic." Akari says, trying to sound mysterious, instead sounding way more evil than she was intending. Uzui narrowed his eyes and patted her head. "Who the fudge told you I liked pats?!" Akari said angrily and Uzui looked at Giyuand they both laughed. "Of course he did." Akari said, failing to continue to be mad. Akari and Giyu waved good bye to Uzui and continued to visit the others mentor.

After visiting everyone, mentor. Giyu complained that he wanted to go back to catch up on his sleep and Akari didn't stop him. "A good slate should also have a good night's sleep!" She teases Giyu and Giyu narrows his eyes in amusement. "Do you mind if you sleep with me?" He begs and Akari looks amused. "Eh?" She says pretending to look like it doesn't matter to her. "I'll take that as a yes." Giyu said and Akari laughed, and Muichiro, who was eavesdropping, looked faintly amused in the backdrop. 

"Muichiro!" Akari called suddenly and Muichiro flinched, as he was caught off guard. "It's not good to eavesdrop!!" Akari continued smiling, Muichiro observed that she wasn't even looking in his direction. "But I'm bored!" Muichiro complained and Akari laughed. "You two are the only ones who aren't either making out, or having their oh so 'private talks'!" Muichiro exclaims using his hands as quotation marks when he says private talks.

"Muichiro, someday you'll have a girl and you'll be all those things." Akari says softly and Muichiro narrowed his eyes in disgust. "Not today." He says, sounding like he is on the edge of puking. "I'm only fourteen, I think I'll think of that crap when I'm older." Akari laughs and strokes Muichiro's silky hair and Muichiro narrowed his eyes. "I'm not a cat, and I don't like pats..." Muichiro pauses and continues, "unlike you." He smirks at Giyu and Akari rolled her eyes. 

"HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU TOLD?!" She said and Giyu shrugs. "Rumours spread like wild fire, Akari." He says and Akari bites her lips. "You guys really are mosquitos." She says grabbing her tails and gently stroking it while smiling in amusement. "Heyyyy Akari!" Shinobu says and reaches to pat Akari's head and Akari's claws immediately sprung out and Shinobu flinches away quickly. Giyu and Muichiro laughs loudly and Akari does a little hiss. "You two better stop laughing before I tear you both apart." Akari says jokingly but Giyu and Muichiro both shudder.

Akari spies from the corner of her eye a crow flying and Akari snaps her fingers, making Giyu teleport to his bedroom, and in the second when the other two was in a shocked state, she sprung up from tree to tree, following the crow silently. She tracked the crow's thoughts and realised that he was going to Tomayo san's place and skipped into a short cut. Tomayo san looked frightened when she first saw Akari then relaxed. "Akari Sama!" She cried happily. 

"How are you today?" Akari smiled and told her to just call her Akari Chan. "How's your boyfriend?" Akari says jokingly but Tomayo looked a little bit insulted and Akari opened her mouth to apologised but Tomayo waved the apology away. "He loves me, but I do not feel the same about him, unfortunately." She says calmly and Yushiro looked angry at Akari for talking to Tomayo. In the dim moonlight he could not see Akari's face. "One more step and I'll kill you!" He growls and charges right at Akari and tries to punch her in the stomach, Akari leapt behind him in the last second, and pulled him back to stop his fist landing firmly on the wall.
