Chapter 1

The next morning one of the teens was up before light was even shining through the windows. She had changed into her huntress gear and began to practice a little bit with her weapon before the initiation. When she felt that she had enough training she then proceeded to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Being early in the morning, not many people were awake. She got her food and went to a table that was occupied by a young lynx faunus.

"May I sit here?"

"Yeah, sure. The table's big enough for the two of us" He said with a smile

The young woman sat down in front of the young faunus and the two continued eating in somewhat awkward silence. The young lad's faunus ears twitched as he heard footsteps approaching their table.

"Hey, is it okay if we sit here?"

The two looked to their sides and saw two other people, they nodded and the two other teens sat down.

"I'm Rinni Bellereve. He's Rhys Carlson. Before you ask, I just met him last night, so I don't know him. And before you ask again, he's mute so I thought I'd just introduce him to you guys."

"Well, my name's Everet Exley. Nice to meet you"

"I'm Violet Edola, pleasure."

"So are you guys excited or nervous about the initiation?" Rinni asked

"Why would you be nervous if you trained for it?" Violet questioned

"Who wouldn't? I mean this is a big step for anyone who wants to become a huntsman or huntress. And to answer your question Rinni, it's both"

Rhys showed his screen to everyone so they could see what he responded with. The four teens then began to talk while eating, trying to get to know one another and discussing what to expect from the entrance examination. After some time they went off to get their weapons and prepare for their test. They proceeded to head to the cliffside that overlooked the Emerald Forest after hearing the announcement. Upon reaching their destination, they were told to stand on top of platforms that had the emblem of the Kingdom of Vale.

"Warriors, such as yourselves, have dedicated years to training to reach where you are today, but not all of you are true warriors. Your abilities will be observed within the Emerald Forest." said Professor Ozpin

"Forming teams is a rumor we can confirm, meaning everyone will be assigned to a team." Professor Goodwitch added

"Each of you will be given teammates. Today." Professor Ozpin paused, letting his words sink in before he continued

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

"What?" a rabbit faunus said

"Now are there any questions?" Asked the white-haired professor

None of the students said anything.

"Good, now prepare your landing strategies. Professor Goodwitch"

Ozpin signaled to the instructor next to him and the student on the far right was launched.
