Chapter 28

Rinni and Everet saw their other two teammates, Violet and Rhys, by the elevator that leads to Professor Ozpin's office as they approached.

"What did you do this time?" Violet questioned

"Nothing! Why do you assume that when we're called to Professor Ozpin's office it means me and/or Everet has done something?"

"Yeah, we're trouble makers but like I said before, we know our limits." Everet added

"Speaking of before, being called to Professor Ozpin's office doesn't necessarily mean we're in trouble. Last time we were up there we were sent on a mission with Doctor Oobleck"

Rhys signed towards his teammates and they all nodded before going inside the elevator. They anxiously stood as it made its way to Professor Ozpin's office. The first thing they saw when the doors opened was Professor Ozpin, Professor Glynda Goodwitch, and John Aiden Scarllet-Bellereve.

"Dad? What are you doing here?" Rinni asked as she and her team stepped off the elevator

"Allow me to explain Ms. Bellereve. Mr. Bellereve is here to deal with a bandit problem near one of the towns in Vale." Ozpin explained

"And you were called to assist him." Glynda added

"Rhys wanted to know why us?" Everet said translating for Rhys

"Rinni here already has experience dealing with bandits before, and I will need you to keep any grimm that may come. Plus more experience for you guys." Aiden uttered

"Okay then, when do we leave?" Violet asked

"We leave in 30 minutes. I suggest you guys quickly pack up. I'll meet you four by the landing pads." Aiden answered

Team RVER nodded and excused themselves before going to their dorm to get changed and immediately pack. Once they were done they went to their lockers and grabbed their weapons. When they were all set they went to the air docks to find a bullhead and Rinni's father waiting for them. They all boarded the airship and it began to travel to its destination.

"Dad, what are we going to be dealing with when we get there?"

"Local huntsmen and huntresses dealt with them, they apparently have a pattern. We're heading to a village they might hit. We aren't 100 percent sure they'll hit it but a lot of huntsmen and huntresses are already stationed at other nearby villages."

"So we're just gonna chill as a defense?" Everet asked

"Esentially, yeah" Aiden answered

"What about if grimm get close to the village? Surely the people will be worried and anxious because of the increase in protection" Violet questioned

"We'll be handling those too. So best case scenario is we'll be facing grimm, worse case is we'll be fighting bandits and grimm."

Team RVER and Aiden got themselves ready seeing as they were quickly arriving at their destination. Once in an open area near the village, they hopped off the bullhead and proceeded on foot. When they had entered the village they could see some people were tense, clearly cautious of the five visitors. One of the locals approached them and led them to the village chief, where they briefed the chief on the game plan, and were informed of the increase of grimm activity near the mountains. They soon went into the local inn to settle into their rooms.
