Team RVER

Chapter 23

Team RVER was now standing in front of the Edola estate after traveling for some time to get to Atlas. They were in warmer clothing as they stared at the mansion in front of them. Violet knocked on the large doors and it was opened by a butler.

"Welcome back young miss, and welcome to the young miss's colleagues." the butler said bowing at them

"Thank you Mr. Mauve. Well, welcome to the Edola Estate guys" Violet walked in

"Please allow us to carry your luggages" Mr. Mauve uttered before snapping his fingers

Suddenly various maids and butlers appeared out of nowhere took their luggage and soon disappeared with their things presumably to be taken to their rooms. Rinni looked at the butler and then the rest of her team before shrugging and following Violet, Rhys, and Everet looked at each other and shrugged as well before following their leader inside.

Violet was soon greeted by two adults. One was a male, wearing a three-piece suit, the vest, and pants were a shade of dark purple, the blazer was gray, and the other was female, wearing a dress that in certain angles can either be purple or copper. The rest of the team saw Violet point towards them and the man's indigo eyes stared at them, his light purple wavy hair was styled back to give him a more elegant and confident look. The woman's hair is a rich, chestnut brown, elegantly pulled back. Her deep dark gray eyes bore into the team as she watched them approach.

"Ah, you must be the rest of Team RVER. My name is Aro Edola, and this is my wife Realeza. Welcome, please make yourselves at home."

"Nice to meet you, sir, my name is Rinni Bellevere. This is Everet Exley, and Rhys Carlson"

"Bellereve... Are you related to Kiona Fiore Bellereve?" Aro asked

"Yes sir, Kiona is my mother. She adopted me together with her husband when I was around 4 or 5 years old. Sir, if you don't mind me asking, how do you know her?"

"Well your mother used to live here in Atlas with your grandfather Borra, in fact, your mother and I were childhood friends. Tell me, are they still living in Vale?"

"No sir, they live in Mistral now. That's where my Mom and Dad work."

"Who's your father?" Realeza asked

"John Aiden Scarllet-Bellereve."

"So they did end up together!" Aro uttered laughing a bit

"Like I always told you dear."

Everyone just looked confused the two adults saw the confusion and decided to explain.

"I last saw your mother at the 30th Vytal Festival with my team, including Realeza here. We were representing Atlas Academy"

"Aiden was relentlessly trying to get together with Kiona, it was quite funny to see him getting rejected from time to time." Realeza said

"Wait, Mother, Father, I never knew you two were a huntsman and huntress"

"Because we aren't. We left Atlas Academy after two of our members died. After that, we decided to start a business and well, the rest was history." Realeza explained

"Huh... The more you know I guess" Rinni said shrugging

"You may not be blood related to them but you are no doubt Aiden and Kiona's daughter. You act like them in all honesty"

Rhys tapped Everet's shoulder and began to sign, which Violet and Rinni also paid attention to.

"That's a rather good question Rhys" Violet uttered

"Rhys was asking if you guys knew Rinni's parents, then why haven't Violet and Rinni met before Beacon?" Everet spoke

"Well... Besides the business, we never really kept in touch and drifted away. In fact, if it weren't for you Rinni, I wouldn't have known your mother got married and adopted you."

"And had my little brother and sister"

"So you have younger siblings?" Realeza asked

"Yes, Ma'am."

Before Aro could say anything his watch beeped, causing him to look.

"Oh dear, we are going to be late. As I mentioned, make yourselves at home. I would like to get to know all of you later on at dinner. Violet, make sure to show your friends around."

"Yes, father."

Aro and Realeza kissed Violet's forehead before leaving the teens. Once the adults were gone Violet began to show her team around and eventually led them to their rooms. When dinner came around they heard adventures that the two adults went through when they were studying in Atlas Academy. Aro and Realeza also mentioned to Rinni that if they had time, they would like to catch up with her parents and meet her younger siblings.

"Reminiscing in the past got me to remember a bet I made with Aiden." Aro stated

"What did you guys bet about?" Everet asked

"Well, we made a bet that Kiona would just reject him until the end of their time in Beacon. I said that he would win if he could end up with Kiona before they left Beacon"

"I think I remember my dad mentioning that when I asked about Vytal Festival one time..." Rinni said

Rhys tapped Everet's shoulder and began to sign.

"Rhys, and quite frankly I think all of us, would like to know what's the prize of the bet sir"

"I'd rather not say, I'd still like to catch up with Aiden and Kiona first before that gets revealed"

"Talk about a cliffhanger. I am so asking my Mom and Dad later."

Aro just chuckled as the teens began to speculate what the prize was. Of course, the fatigue of travel and spending the day roaming the estate made the teens turn in early, all except one. She held her scroll as she called her parents. Rinni knew they would be at home with her little brother and sister so might as well check in with them as well. After a couple rings her parents answered. First, she caught them up on the travel and then she soon asked about Aro and Realeza, to which her parents did recognize. When she asked about the bet they didn't tell her. This somewhat frustrated Rinni but it went away when she saw her siblings trying to grab the scroll from their parents. She just chuckled and decided to push aside the need for answers and talk to her siblings before calling it a night and falling into a dreamless sleep.
