Both Violet and Rinni were soon called into the arena, now they stood on opposite ends with their weapons in hand. The brown-eyed leader had her ax out and the dark gray-eyed member used the automatic rifle mode of her weapon. They watched one another, wanting to preemptively see their opponent's next move even before the match started. A simple word caused them to begin their battle.
Violet immediately took this chance to fire upon her leader, aiming directly at her. Rinni used her ax to hit any bullets away but of course, she couldn't block all of them. Her aura went down by a sliver with each hit from a bullet. She used her blocking and dodging to get closer to the Atlesian warrior. Upon noticing her leader getting closer, Violet used her aura and made a shield as the ax collided with it.
Rinni pulled her weapon back and hit the shield again before punching it, making it shatter. Violet's eyes widened as Rinni winked at her before sweeping her feet. The lavender-haired teen rolled away from a strike before quickly transforming her weapon into its spear form. She used this to try to hit Rinni, who just jumped away. Violet took this chance to immediately get up and pointed her spear at the ravennette.
Rinni smirks before transforming her weapon into a crossbow and quickly getting dust-filled bolts and firing at Violet. The brown-eyed leader used water dust which the dark gray-eyed member used her staff to fling away. Rinni' moved her head towards the bolts, causing Violet to look. Her eyes widened upon realizing her mistake because the next thing she knew she was being shocked. Her aura quickly drained from Green to yellow, close to orange while her opponent maintained a yellow-green level.
Violet tried her best to quickly recover by dodging her leader's attacks as best she could. She decided to transform her weapon into its assault rifle mode and shot at her. Rinni reached out her hand and as bullets landed on it, they turned into nothing but dust, making Violet scoff in disappointment. She turned her weapon back into spear mode and charged at her leader. Rinni got ready to block an attack but her opponent used her spear to vault over her and hit a heavy blow behind her, mixing fire and wind dust to create combustion thus causing a small explosion.
The ravennette could only groan at the hit as it took a large amount of her aura. The once yellow-green level was now orange. Rinni huffed before quickly charging at Violet, making strikes in quick succession that Violet had somewhat anticipated. Rinni grabbed a bolt that held a mix of water and wind, forming Ice as she hit her teammate's foot with the said bolt. She then follows up with a steam bolt, before ending her barrage with her own combustion bolt. Rinni glanced up at the screen, looking to see the aura levels, Violet was a sliver away from red, meaning she would lose.
Suddenly, Rinni felt something collide with her midsection, causing her to lose her breath before she felt multiple hits. She fell to her knees as a buzzer sounded, ending the match. The brown-eyed huntress-in-training looked up to see Violet's spear shaft had been shortened, turning her weapon into a short spear. The lavender-haired teen put away her weapon before approaching rinni, giving her a hand.
The leader smiled and took it as she was helped up her feet. She looked Violet in the eye before smiling proudly.
"You did so well, congratulations Vi... I'm so proud of you" Rinni whispered
Violet could only smile before quickly hugging Rinni, who hugged back. They soon got off the arena and headed to their teammates who were smiling.
"Nice one Violet!" Everet uttered as Rhys began to sign
"Thank you guys, though Rinni was a tough opponent. I didn't expect her to use your semblance"
"Oh that, I learned early on that if I use it in a short burst it's unnoticeable to grim." Rhys signed Rinni's statement
"Yeah, I could. Why do you guys think I keep losing my pens? And why do I have cracks on my bed"
"Why haven't I thought of that?! All this time, you've been destroying your pens"
"Not on purpose. You guys tend to scare me a lot."
Violet and Everet were about to say something but they stopped themselves knowing that Rinni was somewhat right. They do tend to surprise her with their entrances. Rhys just shrugged before signing.
"Alright team, now we're done with this we gotta prepare for the Vytal Festival. We're a part of the 8 teams representing Beacon Academy, so we gotta give it our all. You guys ready?" Rinni asked
"You know it!" Everet uttered excitedly
"We'll do our best out there" Violet added
Rhys just signed before the team watched team CFVY's battles.
