Katherine's POV
There's a knock at the now closed door. Luna had slammed the door shut after Gale left.
"I'll get it." Luna says before walking to the door that Luna had hung up a calendar with pictures of really cute puppies on.
All three of us had finished unpacking our boxes a couple of minutes ago. Now our room is finally organized and clean, sheets set, desks organized, dressers stored.
There's a shriek that comes from the door which grabs my attention and I see that a blonde-haired guy with light brown eyes has barged in and sweep Luna off her feet. "Oh my god, Zack!"
"Which one is your bed?" He asks happily as he looked around the room with a smile.
Definitely a golden retriever personality type
Luna points to her bed and the guy walks over and throws her onto it. She giggles when he throws himself beside her and pulls her into a hug. She struggles before giving in and hugging him back. Luna never mentioned having a boyfriend.
Seconds later, three other guys walk through the door, one of them being Gale.
"Sebastian." Elanor greets the dark brown-haired guy with dark brown eyes.
"Elanor." He replies. The introduction feels oddly formal.
"Jasper..." The last guy with blonde hair and blue eyes mutters awkwardly, pointing to himself and then to amber eyes. "Gale..."
"Couldn't get enough of me, huh?" I ask Gale in a mocking tone, crossing my arms over my chest while looking him up and down before I can decide against it.
He rolls his eyes and invites himself to sit on my bed. The Jasper guy sits on the floor and leans against the foot of my bedframe.
Elanor and the Sebastian guy talk awkwardly by the door.
"Excuse me." I say, keeping my arms crossed and tilting my hip. "Who said you could sit on my bed?"
"Myself." He grins as he slides his shoes off and lays back on my bed while he stares into my soul with those beau- amber eyes.
"You're such a fucking shit stirrer." I mutter and sit at the end of my bed. I look over at him. He's still staring at me. "What?" I ask annoyed.
"Your eyes are grey." He mutters as he leans closer as if to get a better look. "Lack of pigment?" He leans closer until his lips brush against my ear and I have to supress a shiver. "Or are you a demon?"
I feel my heart skip a beat. The ring and the question... Demon hunter... And he's in my room... On my bed... "I don't know what you're talking about..." I mutter, staring straight ahead. Normally I'm better at lying, but he's caught me off guard.
"Original bloodline? Or turned?" He asks, still whispering in my ear. I shiver, slowly pulling my heat back to look at him. "Actually, the age you tell humans. Or are you thousands of years old?" He's still being quiet enough that Jasper, who is sitting right next to me, wouldn't be able to hear.
"You're crazy." I whisper.
"No, I'm right..." He whispers back with a grin as he leans back and decides to join in on a conversation that Jasper, Sebastian, and Elanor are having.
I sit in silence as waves of shock rush through every bone in my body. It's barely been my first day here and I've already attracted the attention of a fucking demon hunter.
There's another knock at the door. Without saying anything, I stand up from my bed and walk to the door. I open it to see Cameron on the other side. He looks at me and then past me to see my roommates and their guests.
He sees the shocked expression on my face. "What's wrong?" He asks like he's about to kill someone, then again, he always does. It's then that I see his eyes snap on what I'm sure is a certain amber eyed guest and anger is easily identifiable on his face.
I push his chest lightly, but enough for him to step back and when we are both out of the room, I close the door behind me. "Come with me..." I mutter and begin walking and he follows closely behind me.
**********
"A demon hunter?" He whisper-yells after He's done listening to my discovery. "Already? Are you serious?" I nod. "We have to kill him before he kills us." He whispers quiet enough that a couple that walks past us talking doesn't hear.
"No..." I say. He gives me a confused look. "We don't know how many on them there are."
"I don't care if there is a hundred of them." He growls quietly. "We have to kill the ones that know."
"Cam... Can we just try to live normal lives? Please? I don't want to run again, because I think we both know that if we do this, someone will find out and we will have to."
He give me a barely noticeable sympathetic look when he sees the plea in my eyes, before his usual grouchy expression returns. "Fine, but I will kill him if I have to." I smile and pull him into a hug. "Katherine, what have I told you about giving me hugs?"
"I'm your twin sister. I'll give you a hug if I damn want to."
**********
We return to my room, this time, Cameron walks in with me. He looks around and observes the room before his gaze finally lands on the people in it. His gaze skims over everyone's face until it lands on Elanor's. She stares back at him. He tilts his head slightly.
"Ok..." I whisper to myself as I walk back to my corner of the room and sit in my office chair instead of on my bed due to the Jasper guy sleeping in it, laying on his stomach with one of his arms hanging off the side of the bed. "Well, you're clearly the sleepy type, aren't you?"
I flick him in the back of the head when I see that he's drooling on my pillow. "Ow!" He groans as he pushes himself up off the bed. "What was that for?" He asks while he rubs the back of his head.
"You were drooling on my pillow." I say with an eyebrow raised.
"Oh shit, I'm so sorry." He says as he tries to clean my pillow with the sleeve of his light grey hoodie.
"It's fine." I smile. "I'll just flip it over and wash it later."
"I can wash it for you." He offers as he sit's up and grabs the pillow and stands up.
I stand up after him and put my hands on his shoulders and push him back down on the bed. "Don't worry about it."
"You're very strong." He says, his blue eyes glittering with desire as he looked up at me.
That was quick... "Uhm... Thank you?" A grin suddenly appears on his face so quickly that I think I almost have a heart attack. "What?" I ask.
"I like your hair." He says, his grin still painted on his face.
I stood speechless. A little too quick... Did someone put a love spell on him? "My hair-?" I tried to say before someone interrupts me.
"Common Jasper..." Gale mutters as he walks over and settles himself on the other side of my bed, facing away and tapping away at his phone. "Stop flirting with a girl you just met."
"You jealous she actually looks at me normally instead of glaring?" He teases after pulling his gaze from me.
Gale huffs and I smile at his annoyance. "He so is." I join Jasper in teasing him.
He looks up from his phone and raises an eyebrow. "You think I'm jealous?"
"Definitely."
