Katherine's POV
The boys had finally left our dorm room, leaving Luna, Elanor and I alone to catch up on everything.
"How did you and Gale happen?" Luna asked.
I shrugged. "We kinda just figured that we liked each other." I lied.
"A little fast, isn't it?" Elanor said, she was sitting on her bed, leaning against the bedframe, and reading a book.
"Probably." I replied, looking down at the floor. I began to think about what my first favor could be.
There was a silence before Elanor began talking. "Katherine?"
I looked up from the floor and looked at her, She placed her book on her bed. "Yes?"
"Can I talk to you? Like, in private?" She asked. I nodded and we both got up from our beds. I followed her out of the room, leaving Luna alone.
She stopped walking after a while, causing me to almost bump into her. She turned around and faced me. "Are you turned or original?" She asked, catching me off guard.
"What are you talking about?"
"You're a terrible liar, Katherine." she said. Clearly not that bad of a liar since you believe me, and Gale are dating.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I said, crossing my arms.
She sighed. Suddenly, I felt a throbbing pain in my temples. I held my hands to my head and let out a quiet whimper. I would have fallen to my knees if Elanor didn't catch me. The pain disappeared quickly, I let out a breath of air that I didn't realize I was holding.
Elanor helped me straighten back up. "You were saying?"
"What the fuck are you?" I asked.
"I'm a witch." She replied casually. "Are you turned or are you an original?"
"I'm from an original bloodline, but I really am twenty-one." I said. "What the hell was that?"
"Simple self-defense spell." She replied. "Only works on demons."
"Did you have to use it on me?" I asked. It really fucking hurt. It felt like someone was driving wooden stakes laced with sage into my temples.
"Would you have stopped playing dumb?" She asked, a slight grin on her face. "Katherine, I have to warn you..." She paused before sighing. "Gale is a-"
"Demon hunter? Yeah, I already know."
"He's not the only one." She said.
"Who else?"
She sighed again. "Sebastian and Zack."
"Do they know about you being a witch too?" I asked. Were witches and demon hunters on the dame side?
"Yes, and let's just say that our families have, uhm, how do I say this... Beef." She continued. "Katherine, Gale, Seb, and Zack's families are the top three most ruthless demon hunters in the world..."
What she said shocked me. I stood in silence. Gale hadn't mentioned any of this to me, he didn't mention that Sebastian and Zack were demon hunters too, none the less that they were the most ruthless.
"I think you should probably talk to him about that..." Elanor said. "I'm guessing that you didn't know."
"Nope." I muttered and then snapped out of my little moment of rage and put a smile on my face. "Excuse me." I said calmly before walking to Gale's dorm door.
