Chapter 18 - Gale

Gale's POV

Me, Seb, and Cameron carried Knox's body down to the garage. Katherine hypnotised anyone that witnessed to forget that they saw us.

Knox was heavy. I had a feeling that Cameron could have carried him easily on his own though. Asshole...

Me laid Knox down in the trunk of the car and Cameron decided to sit in the trunk with him, a needle of concentrated thyme ready. Seb sat in the drivers seat and Elanor sat in the passengers seat.

Katherine sat in the back middle seat, and I sat on the right of her. Luna was sitting on Zack's lap on the left of Katherine.

Zack, Luna, and Elanor were talking about something random. I looked over at Katherine who was staring into space.

"Hey, are you ok?" I whispered to Katherine.

She snapped out of it and looked up at me. "Yeah." She gave me a small smile.

I returned her small smile with one of my own as I placed my arms over her shoulder and pulled her close to my chest. I kissed her hair.

I felt a hard flick on the back of my head. "Ow!" I whisper yelled as I turned my head around to see Cameron death staring me.

I got the message and removed my arm from Katherines shoulders. Katherine looked up at me and noticed me glaring at Cameron and turned her head to look at her angry brother.

"Cameron?" She spoke to him like he was a toddler.

He moved his head to look at her. "Yes?"

"He can put his arms on my shoulder." She said. Cameron rolled his eyes as Elanor laughed quietly.

"We're here." Sebastian muttered angrily. Elanore watched him with a frown as he climbed out of the car and slammed the car door shut.

"What's up with him?" Zack asked.

Elanor shrugged before climbing out the car herself. Seb opened the trunk and helped Cameron drag Knox into the house. I climbed out of the car and waited for Katherine to follow me.

Katherine and I walked into the house after Seb, Cameron, and Elanor; Zack and Luna walked behind us. Luna and Zack stayed out of the dungeons because Luna felt uncomfortable going down there after recent events.

We dragged Knox down to the dungeons and Seb began tying Knox to the same chair he had tied Katherine to.

Katherine shook her head. "That won't hold him."

"We'll put him in a cell too." I said as I walked over, and Cameron and I picked the chair up off of the ground and placed it in a cell.

The cells were built of stone and the doors were made of strong steel bars. The bars were soaked with sage. We were going to have to add thyme to that equation if we were going to keep Knox here.

Katherine stood still for a moment, staring blankly at Knox. Knox's brown hair was messy and hanging over his forehead.

Katherines blank expression quickly turned to hatred. "Can I have a moment?" She asked.

"Sure." Seb said. "Gale, stay with her." He commanded as he glared at Cameron while he began to exit the dungeon and walk up the spiral stone staircase. Cameron followed after him. He didn't look happy that he was walking behind Seb.

"Can you wait outside of the cell?" Katherine asked, turning her head to look at me and then back to Knox.

I nodded. "Ok, call me if you need me." I walked out of the cell and waited by the door.
