"How could they not want her, she's absolutely perfect" Kie says laying in bed next to JJ, referring to her parents.

"You can't listen to them Kie, please, your a great mum" he says wanting to reassure her.

"At least I think so, I guess that doesn't mean much coming from me though"

"Why not?"

"I never had a mum, I don't have anything to compare it to" he shrugs

"I don't have very good parental role models" he jokes with a sad undertone

"Oh then why are you so good at it?" She smiles widely

"You think so"

"JJ your an amazing dad" she says confidently

"Thanks"

"Your welcome" she giggles softly "and it does mean a lot..."

he looks up at her confused

"...coming from you, it means the most"

He turns onto his side facing towards her "Kie?"

She echoes his action and turns to face him."yeah?"

"You know the other day... in your room when we almost..."

"Yeah" she understands what he's getting at.

"What did it mean, I mean if it did mean something. .....Did it... did it mean something?"

She pauses a moment

"Do you ... want it to mean something"

"I .... Hang on I asked you first"

She laughs

"Well.... I don't want to complicate things ...."

"Oh. Sorry let's just drop it..." he interrupts

"no no I wasn't finished"

"Oh"

She hesitates for a second on what to say, she remembers the promise they made to each other, to be honest.

"Of course it did"

"Yeah?" He says surprised by her answer

"Yeah" she confirms

They stare at each other for a moment, before leaving in slowly, closing the small gap between them until there lips finally touch. It's a soft kiss, short but meaningful.

They both smile widely when they pull away.

"I was right" she says

JJ wakes up happy, he turns to see kiara sleeping peacefully beside him, he can't help but smile at her. He quietly gets out of bed and walks to Lilly's crib and holding her tiny hand. He can't help but think how he got this lucky.

Suddenly he hears his phone vibrate on his nightstand, he rushes to answer it quickly so it didn't wake up kiara or Lilly. He presses the answer button and walks out the room.

"Hello?"

The voice on the other end sends fear through his body.

"Dad?"

"I'm outside"

JJ panics and immediately rushed to the door when he sees him, lent against JJ's bike.

"What are you doing here! You can't be here!"
