Chapter 32

Storm had to call in sick to work again. She felt guilty about it and the possibility of her never returning again made Storm wonder how the class would react to the news that their teacher had mysteriously disappeared? She knew that she was thinking about five year olds that wouldn't remember her anyway but still. It hurt to think of someone else filling her place.

As she prepared herself for the day ahead she packed a bag full of essentials and of a back up of her Warrior costume. Just as she had finished packing a small bag she heard a small knock on her door. She knew by the scent behind the door that she was in no danger, well unless Dick decided he was going to hurt her which wad extremely unlikely.

"Are you ready?" He asked still dressed in his civies.

"As ready as I'll ever be"

"Nice jump Blue but bed your knees.. bend your knees!"

Warrior sighed in relief as Blue Bettle landed safely on the map.

"Great job guys. You've worked really hard. I'm starting to think the Light won't have a chance" Warrior smiled at the team before Nightwing called them all to the control room.

"It's time" Superboy said as he walked beside Warrior who took a deep breath.

Warrior was nervous. She had never met the Light only their doctors and their white light screens. Only Roxie had seen them. And only Roxie hadn't shown up yet.

"Team" Nightwing said gravely. "It's time. Myself and Warrior know your abilities and strengths so that's why I've decided to spilt you into new squads for today"

"New squads? Does the League know of this?" Warrior asked.

Surely if there was changes of any sort the League would inform everyone. But then again Warrior wasn't a member of the Justice League.

"Myself, Warrior, Superboy, Blue Bettle and Impulse to come and fight the light. The rest of you have a different mission"

"What where not stopping the Light? I thought this was what we came here for? What we've trained for!" Batgirl cried as the rest of the girls began to hold a conversation on this New idea of a mission.

"Batgirl is right" M'gann said as she stood apart from the crowd. "Why shouldn't we help stop the Light"

"I never said anything about you guys not stopping the Light. Your mission is more important than ours" Nightwing said smirking at the remaining team.

"Your going to learn to love that smirk" Warrior said smiling as she shook her head at Nightwing.

"Like you already do?" Supergirl asked her mouth forming a little smirking of her own.

The rest of the team smiled and tried to hold in their laughter. Everyone but Connor.

"I think we got off point.." Warrior said only to be interrupted by Nightwing.

"Yeah.. eh.. the two teams will be Alpha Squad and Omega Squad. Alpha Squad will be Myself, Warrior, Impulse, Superboy and Blue Bettle. The rest of you are Omega Squad. Omega Squad I have your mission ready for you. Miss Martian would you like to link us up?"

'All linked?' Miss Martian asked in her mind.

'I want to break free..' someone sang loadly and off key in their head.

'What the hell?' Everyone asked.
