Chapter 48

Storm finished packing away the last suitcase. She couldn't believe it. Some hoilday. Herself and Dick only did one thing together. Well two but Storm didn't want to go into detail on that magical night. She was blushing hard thinking about it but she couldn't help but smile and try to stop a small giggle.

The knocking on the door seemed to bring her from her thoughts. Opening the door she raised an eyebrow at Tim standing there in his civilian clothes.

"Let me guess, Dick sent you to get the bags huh?" She guessed as she opened the door wider.

"Yeah.. he thought you'd go a lot easier on me rather than sent someone else"

Storm hadn't really known Tim. He was the new Robin. Usually if not with the team he was with Batman or in the cave. Storm hardly saw him outside of work.

"Well, seeing as you've come all this way" she laughed and walked back to the bags.

"Alfred out front?" She asked as she handed him two suitcases.

"How'd you think I got here?" He asked smiling before he left.

Storm laughed to herself before walking back to the end of the bed to grab the last suitcase and her bag. On hearing footsteps stop in the hall she automatically thought it was Tim. She thought he must have had a problem. Without looking up Storm called to him.

"It's okay Tim I've got the last one"

Turning back to the door the footsteps don't belong to Tim. A small girl, about 5ft 4, with sky blue eyes and pale skin stood just where Tim stood a few seconds before. She stared at Storm, her summer dress slightly floating in an unfelt breeze.

"Oh sorry I thought you were someone else. Can I help you?" Storm asked, smiling at the girl.

She looked about 17 years old and very timid.

"I.. I came to help Wonder Women" she spoke, her voice quiet and soft and with her head down she avoided eye contact with Storm.

Something about the girl reminded Storm of the young 13 year old girl who shyed away from almost everything. Storm knew not to ask too many questions.

"Well, I'll be going to the Mount soon. I could get Wonder Women to meet you there if you like?"

The girl nodded and lifted her head slowly to look at Storm. Storm nodded and smiled.

"Any more bags?" Tim asked as he came around the door.

The girls eyes opened wide and then as soon as she had appeared she disappeared into thin air. Leaving both Storm and Tim to stare in shock at where she had been standing.

"Did you see that?! She just disappeared!" Tim exclaimed, pointing to where she had been.

Storm didn't know what to say. Was that girl a ghost? Was Storm imagining things? But Tim saw her too. Maybe she's dreaming?

"Who was that?" Tim asked.

Defiantly not imagining things.

"I don't know. She said she came to help Wonder Women. Tim go back to the Mount and get Wonder Women. I'll be there soon"

Tim nodded before disappearing down the hallway. Picking up the suitcase Storm dropped it as the girl appeared again in the door way. Storm clutched her heart in attempt to calm it down.

"Oooh I don't need a heart attack..."

Storm looked to the girl.

"How did you do that?" She asked her.

Storm didn't get a response. Storm sighed and picked up the suitcase again and walked past the girl.

"Come on. Let's go to the Mount. But were stopping at my apartment on the way"

The girl disappeared again causing Storm to groan in frustration. Oh this was going to be fun.

~.~.~.~

Warrior walked out of her apartment and jumped down from the stairs and down to the street below. She couldn't have Alfred drive her down to Mount. Who knew who watching her. Warrior jumped from building to building, feeling the girls presence beside her every jump she made.

She wasn't really surprised when the girl appeared beside her once Warrior had entered the Mount.

The sounds of crashing and voices echoed through out the Mount. The girl disappeared after hearing another glass crash. Warrior couldn't blame her. How many times had she herself wanted to disappear? Following the noises to the sitting room she couldnt believe the sight before her eyes. All of the team where trying, and struggling, to keep someone pinned to the ground.

"Warrior help!" Impulses cried. "She's strong"

As he spoke the whole team where flung back, hitting nearby walls and furniture. The girl stood and looked over at Warrior. Warrior recognised her as Elodie. James Archers mate.

"Are you going to attack me too?" Warrior asked.

"Nobodys listening!" Elodie nearly screamed.

"About what? What's going on?" Warrior asked as memebers of the team began to pick themselves up off the ground.

"The Light, they've taken my children"
