"Stay."

It was her. It was Caitlin. The one person that I wouldn't have expected to walk through my doors at that moment.

"Wait what?"

"I said don't leave stay."

"Caitlin, I can't stay. I'm so sorry."

"What do you mean you can't stay? Logan tell her!"

"Don't drag Logan into this."

After what felt like an hour of silence I at least owe her an explanation.

"Logan, can we have a moment alone, please."

"Of course."

As he walked away, she just stared at me. I could tell that she was obviously upset.

"Rory, why are you leaving?"

"Caitlin, I'm sorry I just can't do it. I just try so hard, and it just isn't enough. Not for Coach Bluder, not for me, not for Connor, and definitely not for you."

"Rory, what do you mean that you aren't enough for me?"

"I just feel like ever since Iv'e gotten here I have messed everything up."

"Rory, you have not messed anything up. Everyone loves having you here. Including me."

"I know, it just sometimes feels like a lot. And I just feel like I don't fit in anywhere or with anyone."

"You might feel that, but we all love you so much, Rory!"

And then, we went silent again. It is so weird that she is here, in my dorm. Especially after what happened like 30 minutes ago.

"You should go, Connor is going to be so mad that you are here. He's going to kill both of us."

"I don't like Connor, Rory."

And then, my checks turned a dark red. But what brought me comfort was that her's were, too.

"You don't?"

"No."

"Then why were you with him?"

"I don't know, Rory."

"oh. What happened after I left the stadium?"

"I mean I was just super confused. Connor was yelling, like a lot. I mean, I just didn't know what story to believe, but I knew that I couldn't lose you again."

And then, my checks turned even more red.

"So, what was the story, Rory?"

"It's super complicated."

"You can tell me."

"I... I can't."

"Well, then I can't do this anymore, Rory. I have to leave, I can't keep just doing this anymore."

And then, I watched her stand up. But then, an urge came over me. I realized that nothing would hurt more then watching her leave, and walk out that door. As she was almost out of the room, I realized that I couldn't let her go. I couldn't leave, especially not without being her friend anymore, and not talking.

"Wait no, Caitlin. Stay."

And this time, it was me. I realized there was nothing more that I wanted then to stay here, with her. For her to stay with me.

After a couple of seconds of silence, I finally gained the courage to tell her what happened.

"Sorry this is just really hard for me to say." I say, getting really really nervous
