11. Welcome to Iowa City

Rory's POV: 

Today I am so so so excited!! 

My friends are flying out for our last game before Thanksgiving, which is in just a week and a half. 

All of my friends are flying out including Tristian, Blair Waldorf and Nate Archibald who I went to school briefly with in New York. I invited Logan and Taylor, but they had really important tests, which obviously I wouldn't let them miss. Luckily, Tristian is taking a different course load than them, so he will be able to be here. 

And, another good piece of news, Caitlin and I are doing super good! I am super excited that she is going to meet my friend, and I am sure that they will love her.

"Guys!! I'm so excited that you came here to watch me play!!"

"Of course, Rory!!!" Nate says 

"Yes, even though we had to fly to Iowa to do it." 

"I know that you don't like Des Moines B, but, you might like Iowa City!" 

"Well, I know that I love Iowa City! I am going to our winter house in Chicago after this."

"That is so nice, Tristian! Well, we are pulling up, now. I can give you guys a tour of the campus!"

"Okay, well here is Carver-Hawkeye arena where games, and practices are hosted, and like that kind of stuff." 

"Oh my gosh is that Caitlin, R!?" Blair asked

"Um... yeah I think so!" 

The truth was, I had seen Caitlin walk past a little while ago, and I knew that she was there. The reason why I didn't want to ask her to come say hi is because my friends can be a lot sometimes, and I would rather let her know of their craziness before her meeting them. Caitlin and I had been doing really well, but I still didn't really know what we we where.

"Well are you just going to stand there? Do something!" Blair says

I realized there was no way that I was going to get them to back down. So instead, I just waved to Caitlin, and waved for her to come over. 

As Caitlin is walking over, I have to tell them something.

"Be nice."

"We're never mean, Rory!" 

"Hey!" I say, giving Caitlin a hug.

"These are my friends from back home. Blaire, Tristian, Nate this is Caitlin, Caitlin these are my friends!"

"It's so nice to finally meet you! Rory talks about you a ton!" Blair says with a little wink 

I just give her a little side glare, knowing that Caitlin will have a field day with this late. 

"Aww, it's so nice to finally meet you, too! So how was y'all's flight's from Boston?"

"Oh, me and Nate are from New York, not Boston." Blair says 

"Oh my gosh I am so so sorry!" Caitlin says 

I feel so bad for Caitlin. 

"It's okay, Caitlin. It's an honest mistake. I went to school with Nate and Blair for a little bit in New York, but then came back and went with Tristian."
