'Idris! Can you come and help me move this breads?' my dad shouted. I looked at his direction and nodded. 'Of course, dad!' I shouted back. I was currently working on the new dough, but those breads needed to be delivered to the Royal Palace, so they were going first, of course.

I walked towards my dad and carried the breads with him to the carriage. When we placed the breads on it, the carriage squeaked loudly. 'Uhm... I don't think this thing will serve us more longer. Tomorrow we'll build another one, okay?' dad said. 'Okay dad.' I agreed.

I loved working with my hands. I never was so intelligent, but I loved making art, baking things or building things like boxes or carriages. I build this one with my dad and uncle a few years ago. But the wood wasn't from that good quality, so it was useless after a few years. And that moment came today.

'I just hope it won't fall apart when we'll bring this to the Royal Palace...' I said, while inspecting the wheels. 'Nah, it can be done easily. We just won't take risks by using this thing for too long.' Dad mentioned. I nodded and we climbed the carriage.

While we were on our way to the Royal Palace, I thought about this country. Cruentum never was a nice country to live in. Well, apart of the village where I live in. It's not better here, but I love the contact and the relationship I have with almost every villager in Otium.

But the ruler... is scary as hell. If you come into his way, he'll slice your head of your neck and after that he will lick your blood off the sword. I shivered by thinking about it. I hope I'll never meet King Daechwita.

That's also a weird thing. His name is Daechwita. I never knew that was a name until he came. He also doesn't have a surname, nobody knew he excisted and that he was meant to be the King after his mother and father died in the war. No one knew their surname too. It's a mystery that is continueing for generations now.

We arrived at the Royal Palace, guards were standing at the entrance. One of them halted us.

'Who are you and what are you doing here?' He said with a loud voice. They would ask this every time we came here, and we're coming here now for more that five years in a row. I've seen this guard several times, and I know sure he would know us too.

I don't know why they ask the same question over and over... 'We're Lee Aidan and Lee Idris, we're bringing the bread for the King!' Dad shouted. 'Do you have a permit?' The guard shouted. Dad gave the permit paper to the guard. He read it fastly and gave the paper back. 'Okay, you can enter.' He mentioned the other guards to open the gates.

The huge doors opened slowly and the carriage was led inside of the big Palace. Dad stopped the carriage on the huge square in the middle of the palace. We were unloading the load, when a guard rushed over towards us. He was panting heavily and his face was full of scaredness.

'T-The K-King wants t-to see y-you p-personally! G-go inside o-of there, h-his butler will be w-waiting for y-you!' He said while panting. Dad and my eyes widened.

The King wants to see us personally?! Did something happen with the bread?! We rushed to the door which the guard sent us to. The guards opened the door and a man was standing in there. He had a kind face with friendly eyes.

'Ah, you guys must be Lee Aiden and Lee Idris? Follow me, please?' He bowed towards us and led us to a door. 'W-what d-did we do, if I m-may ask?' I whispered to the butler. 'I have no idea, just enter and don't ask questions to the King, only answer if he asks you to. Don't look at him, look at the ground, only look at him if he asks you to.' the butler instructed.

We nodded and the butler opened the doors which led to a room. A huge room, a beautiful room.  I tried to scan the room in an instant, before I shut my eyes down. In a glimpse, I saw a man sitting on the throne in the room. I saw his clothes, which were majestic and beautiful.

'Look down!' my dad hissed. I quickly looked down. We heard a dark chuckle. 'Come forward!' He commanded us. We both walked slowly towards the throne. 'Stop!' He said. We immediately stopped.

I noticed that is voice is dark, low and growling. The aura felt dangerous too, I shivered.

'Well, well, well...', the voice said. 'So you two are making my bread every week? Answer!' He commanded. 'Y-yes, Your Majesty, we are the ones!' Dad said with a shivering voice. 'Hmm... You surely want to know why I wanted to meet you two, right?' He said with a low voice.

'Well, it's because of this certain bread that almost killed me. Well, it didn't kill me, but it did kill my taster. Why? It wasn't checked by the cooks before my taster tried it. So no one could have a chance to put something in the bread than one of you two. WHY?!' Daechwita growled.

'I-' I tried to say something, but I was cut of by Daechwita.

'Shut up, I didn't ask you.' He said with a cold tone.

'You. Why did you do that?' His voice was coming nearer... He was approaching us...

Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit....

From my eyecorner, I saw that my dad suddenly looked up. I gasped. 'Dad! Dad, don't!' I grabbed him on his sleeve, but he jerked my arm away. 'Why I did that? Shall I tell you, Daechwita?' He bravely said, without any scared emotion.

I was completely confused. What the hell was happening here?
