'It's right there.' A deep and intimidating voice said. I quickly looked behind me to see who it was. I saw a man dressed up in a royal costume standing behind me. He had the most handsome face I've ever seen. His features were just perfect.

'It's right there.' He repeated. I flinched and came back from my daydream. 'A-ah... Y-yeah... Thank y-you, s-sir!' I said and bowed deeply. I looked around, but still didn't see the wood. 'W-where actually?' I dared to ask.

I heard his footsteps coming near me. I flinched a bit when I felt his presence right behind me. 'Right there.' He said and I saw his hand pointing at a shed which was filled with wood. Now I finally saw it. 'A-ah... Thank you, sir...?'

'Kim Taehyung.'

'...Mr. Kim.' I said with a shivering voice. He must be something like family from the King. 'You're wondering who I am, right?' Mr. Kim said. I looked down. Did I think out loud? 'I'm the cousin of His Majesty the King.' He said with a bit of annoyance in his voice. 'Sorry, I'll never get used to this title.' He said.

I chuckled a bit, but immediately palmed my mouth. What if he thought I was laughing at him? 'U-uh... O-oh.. E-excuse me, b-but I got t-to make the d-dinner now...' I said. Why do I al-ways stutter?!

'Ah, I see. Here. You can use this.' Mr. Kim gave me a little box. I politely took it from him and carefully opened it. It was a kit with a flint, a flammable tinder fungus, a little candle and a fire iron. All the essentials to create a fire! I always looked at dad when he used to make a fire at home. Unfortunately, I never got to try it. But I've seen dad doing this so much, that I know how to use this.

I bowed ninety degrees and thanked him. 'Nah. You can keep it. I'm going now. Good luck!' Mr. Kim said and left. I bowed again and then started making a fire.

Okay... How do I do this... I took the fire iron and striked it harshly against the flint. I surprisingly saw some sparks lighting up from the rock. I quickly took the candle and settled it on the ground. Then, I striked the fire iron and the flint again, to make the sparks. Luckily, the sparks lighted the candle. I quickly took the canlde and lighted the fungus with it. While creating the fire, I carefully blew against the flames to add oxygen.

(I don't know if this is the right process, but I just wrote how I think it would go.)

Finally, a fire arose against the little sticks, which I settled on the ground before. I slowly added a bigger piece of wood and kept doing this until there was a big enough fire.

I looked at the fire, being proud on what I did. Without the help of someone! Wait... Did I forget something..? Oh-oh... I should've kept rocks around the fire.... But it was already too late. The fire had already settled itself on the dry grass around the campfire. 'How stupid can you be, Idris...' I scolded myself.

I panicked, but little did I know that someone was watching me. That someone was curious about how I would solve this matter, but when the person saw me panicking, the person knew I wasn't experienced.

So that someone quickly took a bucket full of water which was fortunately beside the person and rushed to me. He threw the water over the flames and after a few times stomping on the left over flames, it vanished. But now the other fire also extinguished.

I looked at the whole happening and didn't notice a tear was falling down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away. Why would you cry about this? Then, I looked beside me to see who helped me.

But when I saw his features, I was almost having a heart attack. No, not of how handsome he was, I didn't even notice that. It was about who it was!

Daechwita...

The King...

Shit. shit shit shit.

I quickly bent to the ground and apologized multiple times.

But he seemed to ignore me. 'I'm so sorry, Your Majesty. I really didn't mean to let this happen... It's just... I never made a fire alone like this before... so-' I tried to explain, but the King cut me off. 'I don't need your explaining.' He said, coldly. I nodded. The King just walked away without saying anything and threw the bucket on the ground.

I sighed and looked at the place where I was supposed to make the fire. I was too much delayed right now. Now I had to find another place to cook. And to make sure the fire was not going to spread on the grass.

And luckily, after a few minutes, I finally succeeded in making a fire. I placed the cauldron above it and started to cook.

An half hour later..

When I entered the 'maids' room, I was greeted by angry and annoyed faces. I heard people say out loud that they found me a lazy and unexperienced maid, that I deserved to be in this range and such stuff. I did my best to feel bad about it. But I couldn't stop my heart from feeling emotions, of course.

I just looked down and placed the huge cauldron where miss. Celia indicated me to place it. One after one, they handed me their plates and I had to fill it. At the last, I was so scared that I didn't make enough, but luckily, it exactly fitted. But unfortunately, there wasn't any left for me, but I shouldn't care. Atleast I've dodged another death sentence.

I don't even know if I will be spared for those deeds I did earlier today. Maybe he'll let me think he forgot it and then he'll kill me? I have no idea, and actually, I don't want to think about it.

After a short time, all the maids were done eating and I brought the dirty plates to the maid who was appointed to wash the dishes. But she shouted: 'Come back! You're supposed to do this!' I looked back being suprised. 'W-what?'

'Don't dare to look at me and don't even dare to talk back to me! Wash these dishes, NOW!' the maid shouted. I nodded and bowed. When she left, I sighed and looked at the pile of plates and bowls I had to wash.

'Just start, Idris. You'll be ready soon.' I tried encouraging myself. But it didn't really work. While I was washing, a few tears dropped from my eyes.
