YEJI POV.:

I think I can take my chance now. This is my chance to get back to Daechwita. Such a fool... He doesn't know I was never killed, and I'll never be.

I watched the girl walking towards the washrooms, observing her. She must be one of those sweet girls, who care for everyone they will see. I mentally threw up, realizing this. I hate such people. I knew that all those people who are caring are liars.

And they're more evil than anyone. They can make people think they're caring for them and win their trust, and at the end, they'll break their heart. I never trusted those people, and I'll never will.

Fun fact, you don't have to be a sweet person to be breaking hearts. You can be like me, heartless and cold. Shall I tell you something? I broke Daechwita's heart, I know. I'm aware of what he had to go through. I could sense him becoming more cold than he already was after I've broken his heart.

It made me feel mighty, that I could change people's personality.

Breaking people's heart became my most loved hobby.

IDRIS POV.:

After the school day ended, the equistrian who brought me here before came to pick me up. I greeted him with a smile, happy to be saved from this horrible school where almost everyone was looking at me with judging expressions.

When the equestrian was about to leave, I heard a voice behind me. It was Winter, who was signalling us to wait for her. 'H-Hi!' She said with a panting voice. 'Winter! What is wrong?' I asked, in worry. 'Ah, ah... Nothing, actually. I was just wondering if I could go with you as I need to study for the test we have day after tomorrow and my usual equestrian is delayed as he is needed for something else. Please, can I go with you and study?' She asked with a pleading voice.

'For my sake, you can go with us. But I don't know how his Majesty will think about this. I don't even have a personal room to study, Winter...' I said, embarrased. I looked at the equestrian, as he would probably know a better answer to my doubt, as he's been working with the King for a longer time.

He smiled. 'I don't think it would be a big problem, miss. You won't meet his Majesty personally, and if you would, the chance would be 0.1 percent, because he's out of town for a state visit. And about the studying place, I shouldn't be worrying. You will surely find a quiet place to study.' He said. I nodded and gestured Winter to enter the carriage.

'Ah, thank you so much! Eunchae already left, so yeah, I had no other choice that trying this. Thank you, now I won't have to sleep here!' She said and chuckled. I smiled too and assured her that it was no problem.

When the carriage was riding, Winter turned towards me. 'Are you close with the King?' she bluntly asked. I gasped a bit. 'What? No! I mean, I'm just a maid, from the lowest range! He almost never speaks to me, and if he does, it's because he's scolding me.' I pouted by the memory of the hundreds of times he had to scold me. I recieved a chuckle from Winter.

A few minutes later, we arrived at the huge palace and entered. Winter's mouth was hanging wide open, astounished by the beauty of the palace and it's tiny details. 'Wow! This is so beautiful! I've never seen the palace so close! You are like, living here 24/7, Idris?! You're so lucky! Everyday, after work, relaxing here, in those beautiful gardens... It's a dreamland, Idris!' She said.

I chuckled bitterly. 'And it's a dream too. I'm basically always inside and never come outside. I've only been outside in the gardens for a few times, when I had to cook for the maids, but I don't do that so often anymore, as I'm a personal maid now. And the area I've been, was the part of the gardens which were kinda... abadoned. It's only function was to be a place where you can make a little mess.' I said, emphasising 'little'.

'That's too bad... It's so beautiful, you are so close to it, yet you can never admire it...' Winter said, which expresses my thoughts at that moment. 'Yeah...' I said, with a quiet tone. 'Yet I can never admire it.' I exclaimed again, for myself.

The carriage halted, and the equestrian helped us to exit. I walked towards the small entrance for staff with Winter right behind me. Then, I suddenly got an idea.

Which was risky, but fun.

'Hey, Winter...' I whispered. 'Yeah?'

'Shall we study in the King's room?' I asked. I heard a gasp behind me. 'No way! You're crazy! That'll be our death, you stupid!' She said. 'But you heard the equestrain. The King is out of town! And out of experience, I know that he won't come back until tomorrow.' I said.

'We can try...?' Winter said, still a bit unsure. 'Come on, don't be so scared! Nothing will happen!' I assured her. We sneakily walked up to the room and entered, making sure no guards would see us.

'Look. His room is the best place to study. It's a calming atmosphere, right?' I said. 'Yeah, it is. But it kind of freaks me out that this is the place where the King sleeps, the King who's merciless and have killed so many people.' Winter said. 'Yeah, but you should not think about that.' I said.

Winter took a parchment out of her bag and placed it on the beautiful table. 'Look, we have to learn this.' She pointed towards the parchment with the assignments on it. I gulped, looking at the paper with letters which I couldn't read. But how do I explain this to Winter?

'I... Uh... Can't read... I never learned it.' I confessed, looking down with flushed cheeks. Winter turned around and looked at me. 'Don't worry. I'll teach you.' She said. My head shot up. 'Really?' I couldn't believe it. 'Yes, I think it will be easy. Come on. I'll teach you the alpabeth first.' She gestured me to join her.

She took another parchment out of her bag and took a feather with a bottle of ink. She wrote some letters on the parchment and pointed at them. 'This is the Latin alphabet.-' Winter gave me another parchment and a feather. '-you have to write them after me. Come on.'

After a hour, I finally got the alphabet in my head. 'Grammar is coming later. Now you know the letters and how to form a word out of them, you can try reading this.' Winter said and gave me the other parchment, which she took out earlier.

I found out that I could learn and understand things really fast and well, as I could completely read the text on the parchment in one go. Winter looked at me with an amazed look. 'That's impressive!' She said.

'It's impressive that you two dared to go into my room without my permission!' A sudden voice spoke.

A shiver ran through our bodies.

Shit.
