Idris nodded and continued cleaning the room. But she was still a bit tensed, knowing that the King was present and probably staring at her. And she wasn't wrong in that. Because Daechwita was indeed staring at her. He was confused what he felt.
If he would fall for her, he had to throw the feeling away, immediately. Because statement one: he knew that the past would repeat itself. And statement two: he didn't have time for love. He had other things to think about now, instead of a random maid who is somehow different for him than the rest.
Agust D. The topic couldn't leave his mind either. Agust D was a threat for him and Cruentum. But something was off about this guy. No one ever saw him. And even weirder: no one knows where his kingdom is located.
There were no other kings who visited him. He would kind of like... seduce people from Daechwita's and other king's kingdoms to work for him. He did that with Idris' father, but later on, Daechwita found out that Yeji was also working for Agust D.
And as she was one of his best spy's, Agust D send a letter to Daechwita in which he said that he would take his revenge. But, Daechwita being Daechwita, he just burned the letter. But that didn't mean the letter left his head. Because he saved the whole letter in his head.
And it never left his mind, because for the first time in many years, something somehow scared Daechwita. He actually didn't have to be scared, as he was the number one King in the world with the most power. Everyone would obey him, but Daechwita's instinct told him that this king might be ranked higher than him.
And that as a thing apart, wouldn't affect Daechwita that much. But the fact that Agust D would probably also be stronger and mightier than him, scared him.
Daechwita sighed and went to the bathroom. Before he entered, he ordered Idris to prepare some clothes for him. 'I have an important meeting.' He explained. In the bathroom, he mentally slapped himself. Why would he explain why he needed clothes to a maid from the lowest range?
IDRIS POV.:
'Prepare some clothes for me. I have an important meeting.' Daechwita suddenly said. I nodded and bowed, while the king went in the bathroom. I immediately calmed down, now that the King wasn't here. I felt muscles relax from which I didn't even know they excisted.
If I would've gone to school, I'd know it. But I never went to school, and now I had to face the consequences. I wish I could've gone to school, only if it was for once. Only if I knew how to read and how to write... And maybe I could've learned some etiquettes there. I scoffed at myself. 'Pathetic, aren't you?' I spoke to myself. 'Stop dreaming about school. You'll never go there.' I slapped myself.
Suddenly, I heard noises coming from the bathroom. Oh, shit! He's gonna be ready soon! And I didn't prepare any clothes! I rushed to what seemed to be his wardrobe and quickly took some clothes, without looking at it.
I put it over the chair, but then I saw what clothes it were...
DAECHWITA'S POV.:
I was done washing myself and left the bathroom in a robe (yés, they had robes in the 17th century). But when I entered my room, I saw Idris looking at the chair with widened eyes. I then saw where she was looking at.... The clothes she picked, where the crowning clothes, which you only wore once in your life. It was also forbidden for normal citizens to touch it. And if maids would touch it, they needed to be killed.
I looked at Idris, with a puzzeled look in my eyes. Why did she take this out? She must know what kind of clothes it were, right? Why did she take them out? According to the law, I had to kill her, but I actually didn't want to. I somehow couldn't get it in my mind to kill her.
Why?
'Why did you take this out?' I asked, with a cold voice. 'You know it's forbidden for you to touch it, right?' Idris' head shot up. She looked at me with pure fear in her eyes. 'W... I.... Uh... I- I didn't know... I d-didn't know it w-were t-the crowning- the crowning clothes... I-I actually d-didn't l-look-' She tried to explain, but I cut her off.
'Who asked you to explain?' I said, while approaching her. She stiffened a bit, when I was only an armlength distanced from her. 'You know what happens to a maid, especially a low range maid, who touches these clothes?' I whispered-said, while bending down to her eye level and looked straight into her eyes.
I saw sweatdrops on her forehead and nose, while her eyes were shaking up and down. She was looking everywhere, but my eyes. I had to keep a chuckle in, as I had to keep my cold aditude. I suddenly grabbed her neck with my both hands, one at each side of her neck.
She gasped loudly, and now her eyes were looking into mine, filled with fear. 'You know what happens?' I repeated my question, now bending over to her ear. 'N-No, Y-Your Maj- Your Majesty..' she answered with a shivering voice.
I chuckled deeply and bent more to her ear, that my lips were almost touching her skin. 'They get killed..' I growled-whispered.
Her body tensed and her eyes were bigger than they already were. Her breathing was unstable, because of the nerves.
'But I'll let it slide for one time, as you're here for the first time.' I said and backed of. I saw her exhaling, trying to calm herself down. 'Next time, I won't spare you.' I added. 'Yes, Your Majesty. I-I'm so sorry, I-I'll try to not make any faults anymore, Your Majesty!' Idris said.
I nodded, but I knew she won't succeed. She's the clumsiest person I've ever met in my whole life.
IDRIS POV.:
He finally left my neck. What the heck just happened? I was so scared...
'Now, clean the room.' The King ordered. I almost asked him why, as I already cleaned the whole room once, it was already clean. But I stopped myself, realizing that would only give more trouble. So I just nodded, bowed and then started cleaning the room again.
I should actually not complain. Instead, I had to be grateful that I'm here cleaning and not dead, probably with my head separated from my neck. I shivered by the thought.
After more than two hours, I was done. I didn't know what to do now, as I've already cleaned the room twice. The King showed up one time, but he simply ignored me and went to the bathroom. And he left without sparing a glance at me. Meanwhile I was shivering the whole time, while bowing.
I cracked my neck a few times and wiped my hands on my apron. Suddenly, the door opened. My head shot to the direction of the door. I thought to see the King there, but no. It was miss. Celia. I immediately bowed to her, on which she nodded.
'Just a little reminder, it's time to eat and the King is hungry.' She said. I nodded and wanted to leave the room, to go to the kitchen. 'Oh, and as you're his personal maid now, you don't have to cook for the other maids. You only have to cook for the King and his family and friends. So... that's around seven people, I guess. And dón't make a mistake as last time again!' She said.
I froze, how did she know? But I recovered myself and nodded, agreeing by bowing. 'I'll go start, then.' I said.
Yass I'm back! I had some issues with the network, but I guess it's solved now. I'm sorry for not posting for a long time ehehe
