'She's upto something. Catch her.' One of the guards said. I sensed danger and realized I had to grab my only chance here. I ducked down and sprinted through their legs, straightening my posture and running.

Run.

Run.

Run.

That's what you have to do. You can't do something else right now! You have to run!

I rushed through the big gates of the main entrance, but not stopping. I heard the shouts of the guards (who were having help now of some other guards), telling me to stop. But I didn't listen (Who would?)

I kept running, didn't stop. I ended up in a alley and hid behind some carriages. I saw the guards coming in the alley, and I held my breath again.

Please, don't come nearer... Stop there, turn back or something... Don't come nearer..

I heard footsteps stopping, just beside me. He couldn't see me because I was hidden. But he had to take one more step and he would be able to see me... I felt cold shivers running down my spine.  'I really thought she went in here! Why can't I see her?' A voice said.

He kept silent for a while. Then, I heard the sound of him shrugging his shoulders. 'I must've had it wrong. I should follow the others.' He said.

Then, the footsteps continued and the sound died, with slow steps. I carefully checked the surroundings before slowly raising my body.

I looked around, to see in what kind of area I was. Suddenly, I heard faint sounds, of cheers or something. I heard kids laughing and cheering, music was filling the atmosphere. I wondered what it was, so I slowly approached the sounds.

I turned left and what I saw next made my mouth hang open.

A complete market! I saw people dancing around, kids were playing with each other, couples were dancing on the dancefloor under the cheerful music. The aura was filled with happiness, to be short: there were no sad people present here.

Even though if you were sad by any chance, you would be cheered up here. I could sense that from how people were behaving here with each other. I slowly entered the market and passed the  stalls which were filled with sweets or other stuff. They were all decorated in a floral way.

The people standing behind the stalls were trying to sell their stuff with loud shouts, everyone watched and looked at their stuffs, tried them out, but no one actually bought one. Because they had no money. But it didn't really matter.

Because it was cozy and fun here. Everyone knew everyone, they were everyone's friend. I watched children playing tag and other games and I unknowningly smiled at their behavior. This is so much better than that stupid palace with it's stupid King and his stupid etiquette school.

I'd been to this kind of market one time before. But that was when I was only four years old. I remembered visiting it secretly with my brother. But our father caught us and punished us very hard, by locking us up in a basement for a week. After that punishment, we never dared to do it again.

Seeing this market, it made me feel nostalgy. I smelled the smell of all kinds of sweet food and drinks. I listened to the sounds the kids made with their happy screaming while they were chasing each other. I eavedropped the adults who were having an unserious conversation about the most stupid things, their laughter, their jokes...

I closed my eyes for a second and lived up in the moment. Until I felt someone tugging on my sleeve. I turned my head, expecting to see a royal guard, who followed me and came to bring me back to the palace. But I saw no one. I looked down and saw a kids half hanging on my sleeve.

'Hello miss! Who are you? I've never seen you here before?' He asked. I smiled and bent down on my knees. 'That's true. I'm not from here. But I was also kind of playing hide and seek with some other men. But those were evil men. So I escaped from them, and now I'm here.' I explained in the most simple way I could improvisate.

'Ah...' The kid nodded his head in a cute serious way. 'Are those men here too?' He said. 'No, they're not.' I reassured him. He sighed out of relief. 'Anyway, do you want to join us? Please play tag with us, miss...'

'Idris.'

'Please play tag with us miss Idris!' The boy asked me with puppy eyes. I smiled and nodded. 'Alright. Show me your friends. What's you name by the way?' I asked the boy. 'My name is Alexander, but everyone calls me Alex. So you have to call me Alex too.' The boy said. I chuckled. 'Okay Alex.'

He lead me through the crowd towards some other kids who were curiously looking at me. 'Who are you?' A girl asked. 'My name is Idris. And yours?' I asked. 'Sammy.' She said. 'You're a foreigner. So you're evil. You have to be the tag!' Another girl said. I chuckled and agreed. 'Alright! What's all your names?' I asked while bending down.

The girl beside Sammy was called Yoëlle, the boy who was standing between Yoëlle and another boy was called Henry, the boy beside Henry was called Charles. 'And we're all six years old!' Henry said proudly. I nodded and patted him on his head.

'That's indeed very old, Henry!' I said. He nodded in agreement. 'How old are you actually?' Yoëlle asked. 'I'm 21 years old.' I answered her question. 'You look like ten.' Sammy bluntly said. I chuckled again. 'I do look like ten, right? I'm quite small.' I said. 'Yes, you definitely are.' She said.

Suddenly, Alex patted me harshly on my back and ran away. Soon, the other kids also fled from me. I laughed and chased them as fast as I could. I was litteraly reliving my youth which I missed. And I loved it.

DAECHWITA POV.:

'Your majesty, Lee Idris has fled from the palace and unfortunately, she's still missing.' A guard reported to me. She fled? She musn't be that stupid. I had a little respect for her how she actually managed to escape the guards. My guards were the most trained men in my kingdom.

And that made me angry. They couldn't even hold back a fricking girl? What kind of weak persons are these men? I wasn't even angry about Idris, who fled. Instead, I was just only wishing she would change her mind and come back here.

I'll make sure she's being treated in a better way.

'Are you working for Agust D?' I asked in a dark tone. That's the only thing I could assume. 'N-no, your majesty! We don't work for Agust D!' one of the guards told me. 'You're lying. Tell me the truth!' I shouted. The guards flinched and knelt down deeper than they already were.

'No, we're not lyin-' While the guard was still defending themselves, I gestured one of my tiger tamers to free the hungry tiger who wasn't fed a proper meal in days. The tamer lifted the bars behind which the tiger was caged. A loud roar was being heard in the throne parlor and the tiger stormed towards the guard who was pleading to me.

He was trained to listen to me, actually, around me, he was as obedient as a puppy. I trained him to kill anyone I pointed to, no one else. So I pointed towards the one guard and the tiger immediately jumped onto him.

The guard screamed in agony, trying to push the tiger off him. But the tiger was so much stronger than him and within a few seconds, the stomach of the guard was ripped open and his intestines were hanging out of his tummy. One last scream left his mouth when his heart stopped beating and his eyes rolled back in their sockets.

The other guards watched everything and horror was written on their faces.
