Bella's POV

As soon as the car stopped, Renesmee threw the back door open and ran towards the house. Edward and I walked up the drive hand in hand, and met the family. I hugged each member, as did Edward and Renesmee. It felt amazing to be with them again.

"How have you all been?" Esmee grinned.

"Great, thank you!" I replied.

"Good, good. Come on in, everyone. There's a surprise in the living room!" Esmee smiled. I went through to the living room and sitting on the sofa were Charlie and Sue.

"Hello Bells!" Charlie greeted, standing up to hug me. I hugged both him and Sue, and sat down with the rest of the family.

"So you will all be staying in your old rooms, and Charlie and Sue can stay in the spare bedroom," Esmee told us. I nodded and went upstairs to unpack. When I entered the living room again Renesmee was sitting on Charlie's lap.

"You really have grown so much! How old are you now?" he asked.

"I am seven," Renesmee smiled.

"What? Bella, does that mean you were pregnant when you were living at home? How does that make sense? You have only known Edward for a few years!"

"I...um..."

"Actually, we have known each other for a while, but we kept our relationship private to start with," Edward replied, saving me.

"Oh, right. Well what matters is the present, not the past," Charlie sighed.

"Renesmee, you must be tired and it's already ten o'clock. Why don't we get you some tea, and you can get to bed? The sooner you get to sleep, the sooner you can wake up on Christmas morning!" I said. The Cullens had decorated the house so nicely, and the tree just frames the whole living room.

"Okay mommy. Goodnight everyone," she smiled, following me into the kitchen.

"What would you like? A sandwhich?" I asked, opening the fridge.

"Yes please." I quickly made it for her and she gulped it down in a few minutes.

-----------------------

"Please can you braid my hair?" Renesmee asked. She had just had a shower and was wearing her pyjamas, ready for bed.

"Of course sweetie." I quickly plaited her hair and tucked her into bed. Edward came in a few seconds later to read her some of the story they are reading together- Pride and Prejudice. Renesmee could easily read it herself, but she insists on having it read to her. I exited the room and rejoined my family in the living room. I noticed that Sue was sitting in a strange position, with her stomach sticking out. And her stomach looked larger than normal. I'm not saying that she has put on weight, but I think she might be...pregnant.

"Charlie, can I have a word with you in the hall?" I asked.

"Okay," he said, walking out behind me.

"Please don't take this the wrong way if I am incorrect, but...is Sue pregnant?" Charlie's face turned pale.

"I'm sorry Bells. I was going to tell you, but I though you might get upset."

"Of course not, I'm excited! Have you told mom though?"

"No."

"Does she even know you are together?"

"No," he murmured, looking down at the floor.

"Don't you think you should tell her?"

"I guess I should."

"Okay. Anyway, let's just enjoy the rest of our time together. Are you going to tell everyone else?"

"I think it's for the best that Sue does." And she did. Apparently she is two and a half months pregnant.

"So does this mean I am going to have a half-brother or sister?" I smiled as Edward joined us all again.

"What?!" he asked.

"Sue is pregnant!"

"Oh, congratulations!"

"Thank you," Sue smiled.

"I think I'm going to get to bed soon," I said, hinting to Edward that I was going hunting.

"Oh, me too. We'll see you guys tomorrow morning."

"Night," they all replied, distracted in their own conversations. We went upstairs to the Edward's bedroom and jumped out of the large window. After we were both full, we went back and slept, excited about tomorrow.
