My father opened the stable door, as my mother lifted me into her arms and placed a small black riding hat on my head. Once saddled up, Luna strode over to me. Mom rested me on the large brown saddle, and I put my feet in the stirrups and held tightly onto the reigns. Luna started walking slowly around the paddock. I squealed delightedly. After a while we started to walk a little faster. Mom and dad stood by the stable, tucked in each other's arms watching me. "Nessie, you're going to take your first ever riding lesson tomorrow. A lovely lady named Sally will come and help you learn to ride properly," my father smiled. I grinned and turned my head towards my parents. "Thank you, mommy and daddy. This is the best present I've ever had!"

"Careful, Nessie!" My mother called. I turned my head back and realised that I was falling off sideways. I pulled myself up properly and breathed a sigh of relief. "I think that will do for today," my mother said.

Once she was back in the stable, Luna leant her head down for me to stroke her nose. I stood there for a few minutes, gently patting her head, before mother and father called me to follow them. They lead me out of the field and we started walking slowly back out of the woods. "So, Renesmee, Christmas is coming up in about a month, and we were wondering what you wanted." my mother said softly.

"I don't mind....what am I allowed." There was something I wanted so much, but I didn't how my parents would react.

"Oh, anything love. Well...just about anything. There's a few limits, of course," My father laughed.

"Can I...can I go to school?" I whispered.

A look of shock came over both of my parents' faces. I couldn't tell wether it was good or bad shock. "Um...we'll see Ness. Maybe. But that's not much of a present. Anything else?"

"I don't know. Surprise me." I said, trying to hide the disappointment. I really wanted to go to school, more than anything else. Although, my father did say maybe. So it wasn't a defininte no.
