I wanted to find my real bedroom, so I went out of the playroom and climbed the few stairs up to the attic. My full name was inscribed on the decorated label that was hanging on the one door. Ah, there we go. I slowly entered, gasping in amazement. My room had its own castle painted baby pink, with two towers joined together to make a top level, and a staircase meeting at the top on one side where the balcony stood, a slide going down the other. A pretty sofa bed sat underneath. Next to my castle was a cute dressing table with an elegant, grown up tea party set, and an adorable dressed teddy bear sitting on the wicker chair. A few jewellery racks also stood on the dresser, along with some rose scented candles and various perfumes and bottles. Opposite this dresser were two graceful armchairs and a mahogany table in between them. On top sat a beautiful jewellery box. I opened it, and a classical tune played out. It was the same song that my father used to play to me. It was the first song he taught me. On one of the walls were two doors either side of a picture of me, my mother and father sitting on the cream sofa at Papa and Nana's house. We were laughing and staring into each other's eyes. In one room was the bathroom, with a toilet, sink, two joined counters, a shower and a bath with a built in a radio. I was about to see what was in the other room, but my mother called me for dinner. I raced down both flights of stairs, and saw Jake come out of the living room yawning. We entered the dining room at the same time. On the long dining table were two plates full of homemade lasagna. A dish containing slices of garlic bread sat next to a bowl containing salad. "Elk's blood?" My mother smiled, entering the room with a jug full of swishing, dark liquid. I grinned and drained the blood in a few seconds. Elk was my second favourite, next to lion.
"How can you drink that?" Jake shuddered.
"It's delicious. Want some?" I teased, offering him the jug and making him gag.
"Er, no thanks. I'll just stick to orange squash," he winked. I gulped my food down and was excused. My father was studying some paperwork in the study, and my mother was watching TV in the front living room. Forgetting about the second door in my room, I decided to go outside.
