Chapter 12

"Can't you understand a simple no?", the deep chilly voice asked. A gasp escaped my lips at the sudden action as I looked at the person standing before me.

"Taehyung...", I mumbled in a low tone as my eyes widened at the sight of him.

He had his eyes stuck on that guy. I followed Taehyung's gaze and saw that guy staring back at Taehyung with a scornful look on his face. "What do you think you are doing?", He asked and Taehyung silently watched him with a poker face.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" Taehyung raised an eyebrow at him.

"Oh c'mon I was just teasing her", The guy replied and Taehyung peeked a glance at me from the corner of his eyes before looking back at him again. "Didn't look like it", Taehyung tilted his head a bit to the side.

"Taehyung, isn't it better if you mind your own business?", The guy replied in an irritated tone. I could see clear frustration on his face as he looked back at Taehyung who had unreadable expressions on his face.

"I am already minding my own business", A smirk appeared on Taehyung's lips as he replied to him.

The guy's face dropped at Taehyung's words as he gave him a profound look.

"What do you mean?"

And in response to his question Taehyung glanced at my clenched fist and raised a question, "Will you just stand there and do nothing?"

Stunned by his question I looked at him just to find him already gazing back at me with a dead serious look on his face. "What are you talking about?", The guy inquired, not understanding what was even going on anymore.

And I shifted my gaze at that guy and made my way towards him. He had a puzzled look plastered on his face as he watched me take steps towards him. Standing across from him I slapped him hard across the face.

His eyes widened in shock as he placed a hand over his cheek and looked back at me. "How dare you?", he raised his voice at me. "This is what you get when you don't know how to respect women", I replied in an angry tone.

"You b!tch."

He raised his hand and was about to slap me back but got stopped midway. "Don't you dare, Nathan", a deep husky voice warned, making me glance up just to find Taehyung grabbing onto his hand tightly in the air.

His eyes were ablaze with fury as he pushed his hand away from me. "Next time it won't be just a warning", He added as his gaze pierced through him. Nathan glared at both of us before taking a step backward.

But soon his eyes met him and I felt a strange feeling building up inside me as if he was warning me. His eyes were. And with that he walked away from there leaving me and Taehyung alone by ourselves in the hallway.

We both stayed silent for a while. None of us was ready to break the awkward silence.

I decided to walk away from there but got stopped in my tracks by his sudden question, "Are you alright?" I stood still in my place for a few seconds not even bothering to take a look back at him and took a step forward to take my leave.

"I asked you something", A firm grip around my wrist stopped me again as I finally looked behind and found him holding onto me. "Why do you care?", I raised an eyebrow at him while he just silently gazed at me. I shoved his hand away from him.

Thinking he might give up now I decided to finally take my leave but surprisingly, he grabbed me by my shoulder before I could turn around to leave and pinned my back against the wall.
