The ride to Jungkook's house seemed to be longer than what Taehyung had imagined. Regardless of him having taken this route from Hobi's house multiple times, it still felt lengthy.
Hobi was playing some old schooled hiphop with the windows down of his brand new Range Rover. Just like any other kid, Hobi was the son of rich parents, but he had no siblings. No one to talk to about his girl (and boy) problems. Tae felt bad for Hobi as he sat in the passenger seat. And he also felt guilty. He has so many people who cared for his well being, Hobi included and he was acting as if no one cared. Hobi was the one who didn't have anyone. His parents were constantly gone on business and recreational trips, he didn't have a brother or sister, other family lived too far, and his friends never really paid attention to him.
"Thank you Hyung," it was rare that Tae would show his appreciation to Hoseok.
"Oh no problem, I had nothing to do anyways," he chuckled. That was the thing about Hoseok, you would never really see him upset. It was sad.
"No you're a really good friend hyung, and I know I've never made you feel that way. You always show up for me when I need you, but when you need me, I'm too 'busy', it's not fair. And you never get mad at me for flaking on you, you just show up with no complaints,"
"It's okay TaeTae I know people don't have as much free time as me. And you're a great friend and you treat me fine,"
Even though Hoseok sounded genuine, it still made Taehyung feel uneasy.
Arriving to the house seemed surreal, given the fact that Tae had just run away from there. But he realized he can't run from his problems...not anymore.
As Hoseok parked his car in the driveway after being let in by Jungkook's mom, Taehyung's heart raced. Seeing his car that he had just abandoned a few hours ago was making him anxious.
"Hey Tae, if you don't want to, we don't have to, but you of all people should know that Jungkook won't be mad at you. He's more worried than anything,"
He was right. Jungkook sat on the couch of Mr. Kim's house waiting for a call from anyone. Only wishing and hoping his ex was okay. He had gotten notification that Hoseok was at his house, but he couldn't imagine what for.
Unbeknownst to the Jeon family, Taehyung stepped out of the car that he was just in and walked to the front door with his friend.
It wasn't long before the door opened. It was Jungkook's father.
"Mr. Jeon?" Hobi was shocked. He hadn't known that his father was back in town. When did this even happen? He couldn't help but wonder.
"Can I talk to Kook?" Taehyung felt shameful. Running away like a child and then having to embarrassingly return back to which he ran away from.
