It was now Saturday and time for Hyung's party. He had one of the biggest houses in the entire school so there was really no limit on how many people can come. His parents were never home, they were constantly filming and promoting said movies, so it made sense for Hobi to always throw parties.
"Good morning Jungkook," I woke up to the sound of bacon sizzling and steam floating in the air. My mother was cooking breakfast and it smelled so good and the aroma led me all the way to the kitchen.
"Good morning mother," I take a seat at the table and patiently wait for her to make my plate. It was going to take a while since she was still preparing the meal, but I had patience. If I didn't have patience for anything else, it was for food...and sex.
"There is a surprise for you in the foyer if you would like to go see it while I finish up with breakfast," my mother announced using her spatula to point in the direction of the foyer without looking at me.
What could it possibly be this time? New shoes? Keys to a new car? A puppy?
Living with my mom meant that almost every day was Christmas. She is always shopping, so that means she is always buying me something as well. She doesn't really have a job. She stills lives off of my father, and I can't really complain because he pays for my lifestyle as well. But, don't even get me started on birthdays and actual Christmas.
I vividly remember my 16th birthday like it was yesterday. I woke up to a room full of new shoes, some of which haven't even come out yet, and new designer clothes. Then, I went outside and saw three cars, each filled with more gifts. I didn't even have my license at that point. Perks of being an only child I guess. Just so you don't think I'm a complete spoiled brat, only one of the cars was for me, the other two belonged to my mother.
I went down to go see my surprise and when I arrived I did not see anything until a tall figure popped out and shocked me.
"D-dad? Wh-what are you doing here?" it was in fact surprise. Not a good one though.
"What do you mean what am I doing here? I own this house," he laughed and placed his hand on my shoulder with a tight grip. It was painful, not because it physically hurt me, but because it just gave me unwanted flashbacks.
"But you've been gone for three years," my bitter tone finally comes out when I answer him.
"I came to surprise you, my son," his smile was big and he seemed genuine.
I can say he did a good job of surprising me but was I happy? never. I hated this man with everything in me. He ruined his relationship with my mother by cheating with another woman. I forgave him, only to have that stress released from me, but I never forgot. I never forgot the pain and shock that was in my mother's eyes when she came up to my room to tell me that my father had an affair. She never told me with who, but I did not care. I was just upset that that bastard could not keep his dick in his pants.
