*JIMIN POV*

Tae was a wreck again.
After news broke out that Jungkook and Lisa were now dating he was so angry. He always glared at them when they were sitting next to each other at lunch.

Lord if looks can kill, those two would be six feet under by now.

Today was Saturday and Tae and I decided to go on a little road trip. As his best friend, I had to find a way to get that "my ex-boyfriend is dating my enemy and I hate the both of them" look off of his face.

He hasn't really smiled since the whole break up so I thought this road trip to Jeju Island would be the perfect place to visit. We would be gone for two days and I know it wasn't a long enough trip to change his entire mood, but we had to try.

My mother had finally purchased me a car and I was on the way to pick up my best friend. I was very familiar with his home, so when I arrived I let myself in.

Never fear. The security guard at the gate saw me come in and was aware of my arrival.

"Hello Mr.Park, you are looking ravishingly handsome today," Mrs. Kim greeted.

"Mom stop flirting. He's a minor...and you're married," I heard Tae's voice getting closer to me.

"Tae. I am aware of his age and my marriage! Get your mind out of the gutter!" Mrs.Kim raised her voice. Not too loudly, just loud enough to get her point across.

"Well. Mrs.Kim, I only came to pick up your son so we can take a little road trip," I interrupted her laughter.

"Oh well, you boys have fun. Tae, don't forget to tell your father that you're leaving," she was now walking up the stairs to her room.

I have never had a conversation with Mr. Kim and I didn't think I wanted to now.

"I'll wait in the car," I say.

"Uhh hell no! You're going to come talk to father with me. As many times you have been in his home, and you have never spoken to him," Tae pulled my arm and we walked down to Mr.Kim's study.

We made it to the room where the tall dark brown doors were closed shut. It was quiet, but if you listened closely enough, you can hear the typing of the computer followed by the flipping of papers and small sighs of frustration coming from the inside.

Tae knocked on the door lightly, almost as if he were afraid to knock with force.

Mr.Kim must have enhanced hearing because mere seconds after the knock he deep voice called out.

"Who is it? I do not wish to be disturbed at the moment," his voice was intimidating and low. Now I knew exactly where Tae got his voice from. They sounded so much alike. But, you could tell that Mr.Kim was more scarier and unapproachable than Tae was.

"Father, my friend and I wish to tell you goodbye as we are about to go on a road trip," Tae sounded different. He seemed frightened.

There were no words that followed after and as we thought that his silence was our key to leave, the door opened.

"Where are you two headed?" The question was directed towards Tae. He did not even look at me.

"Jeju Island...s-sir," I answered instead not forgetting to bow to him. His head quickly turned to me upon hearing my voice.

Out of the corner of my eye I can see Tae was still looking forward, despite his father no longer looking in his direction.

"Hmmm. Park Jimin is it?" He asked now looking at me, which I partly regretted because his gaze was piercing straight through my soul.
