3rd person pov.
It was Wednesday, the day Jungkook was finally able to go home. He could lay in his large California king size bed with satin sheets without a care in the world. To say the teen boy was excited was far from what any can explain.
Being in the hospital is depressing. The food is mediocre, the beds are decent but, how good can a hospital bed be? Not to mention Jungkook spent all his days watching tv, sleeping, and getting tests ran on him.
He was an athlete. He had to be moving at all times, one time, the nurse was greeted by the boy's exposed backside when Jungkook was playing soccer in the hospital room with a bag of medical supplies.
To be fair, they didn't provide him with a ball. He had to get creative.
......
Jungkook was finished with all his tests. He was clear to go, he was waiting on his father. The man was running behind. But his son was not worried, at least not yet. Mr. Jeon was new to this whole "showing up for your kid" shit, so it's not surprising he was late.
But a familiar pain entered his chest when the minutes went up in intervals
5 mins...
10 mins...
20 mins....
35 mins....Hope was being lost.
"Just as I thought," Jungkook angrily looked at his cellular device as he was about to open up a ride share app.
"Mr. Jeon, your father is here," the same nurse who's been taking care of him all this time announced.
He was 37 minutes late. Maybe Jungkook should have more faith in his father.
It was surprising to hear he had actually showed up.
"I will lead you to him, and we will finalize your discharge,"
......The walk to the lobby to greet his father wasn't too long. Jungkook was on the highest floor, so the "walk" was really a nice quick 60 sec ride on the elevator.
Jungkook felt good though. He was happy that he was being released, and he would never say this aloud, but he was happy his father was here.
"Hello, Jungkook," the taller and older man spoke with so much bass in his voice, it caught the nurse off.
Not only did his voice catch her off guard, but his looks did too. It was like looking at twins, expect one was younger than the other.
For Jungkook's whole life he has been reminded of how he got his features from his father.
Every time he reunited with family, they would spent a decent amount of time talking about how much he looked like that man.
And that was the one thing he thanked his father for. Well, that and his money. He couldn't imagine his life without either. He was handsome and rich? He was truly God's favorite.
"Hello father," the tone in Jungkook's voice was awkward. He hadn't been in this situation in a long time,speaking to his father with...respect.
Every time he had talked to the man, he was cursing him or pleading him to get out of his life.
This feeling was foreign, it made his heart flutter, in a very weird way.
"Let's get you home," was all his father said in response of the greeting.
The ride home was a comfortable silence. Neither the man or his son spoke but, to be fair, they had nothing to discuss.
~~~~~~~
"Have you spoken with Taehyung?" it was the first thing the man said to his son since they left the hospital. He was typing in the code to the gate of the home.
