Dedicated to shubhi5
Hello everyone, this is my first story so I hope you'd like it .
*********
Chapter 1You might have thought growing up with a silver spoon in your mouth is easy but not exactly! Sure I got all the luxuries but I could trade all that for few moments of freedom.
Being the daughter of one of the powerful and richest businessman Matthew Ross, has it's perks but now my parents want me to marry the son of Lucas Maverick, a known name in business industry and the wealthiest man today.
Who the hell does that, just a sec..... my-so-called-sweet daddy. He only wants the marriage for sake of combining two industries.
What will I get out of tha...umm... nothing.
Marrying someone whom you have never ever talked to in your lifetime and that to a playboy is not on my to-do list.
Nolan Maverick is a player. Well known for his one night stands, partying image and a jerk. Can you imagine yourself getting married to a person like Nolan. Sure I can , it's like throwing myself into hell-hole.
I still remember the day when the marriage was announced.
" Ava, we want you to marry Nolan Maverick. " My father said to me, actually ordered me. Well that was exactly how he said, no proper explanation nothing just that I have to marry, Can you believe it?!
My dad is not one to show affection. He is a bit bossy. I don't blame him for that maybe it has something to do with him being in business.
He has the tuff exterior, cold brown eyes, powerful aura surrounding him. I still don't understand how my mother got married to him because I hardly see the man smile.
Back to the topic, he won't budge whatever I do to change his decision on my marriage. He has his jaw set on getting me married just so that he can expand his business and can be number one all over the industry.
And he's going to get all of that by making relations with the wealthiest man itself and that too through me.So here I am, on a week beach trip to enjoy my last few days of freedom and hopefully I could get my parents understand that what they are doing will bring nothing good to me. Sure I'll get fame but I can't compromise my life for that...right. I'm just 19 for God's sake.
The sand tickled and stuck to my feet as the cold water hit it. I loved beaches, the cool breeze making my hair fall all over my face and the sunset providing calm and soothing effect. I sat on dry sand and relaxed. I was dead tired.
"It's not a big deal mom"
"What do you mean 'it's not a big deal'." I could feel anger radiating off of her.Stella Ross is a gorgeous woman with flawless skin, right curves, slim, and silky brown hair adding compliment to her beauty. She is perfect for the rich society but that's not how I see her. She was never like this before. We used to have mother daughter time. Baking cookies, playing in the park and all that. But I don't know what changed her. I miss my childhood a lot.
"Ava you have to understand this marriage means a lot to your father. You just can't blow things off like that. Only three weeks are left for your engagement " she just cannot understand me.can she?!
"Mom , please just think of it as if I'm going on a pre-wedding vacation. " I practically begged her to understand but I don't think whatever I will do she would listen to me.
This little drama continued for what felt like forever but thank God she accepted it.
" okay, okay one week and then you have to do as we say. " she replied. I know she was still uncertain about sending me out for one whole week. But this is the least she could do for me.
