It's not everyday I got up with a huge smile on my face and thoughts of the so-called date I had. After we left the bar Jackson dropped me off, and since then I couldn't wipe the smile from my face.

I'm still unsure about my feelings for him but I do know that somewhere I have started to like him. Well how couldn't you, he's handsome, smart, have abs to drool for, cocky smile, and he's been nice to me etc..etc... Well i'm sure I sound like a high school girl but who cares.

Since my mood was so cheerful I decided to stay at home today and have girls time with Jess. Without her I don't think my vacation would be this good.So i thought it will good to have an all girls day.

"hey....Ava.....open the door" Jess shouted and the she devil is here.

I made my way to open the door and suddenly two arms wrap around and sucked all the air out of me. I know I like the girl and all but right now she was hugging me so tightly that soon I'll be seeing black spots in front of my eyes.

"Jess.you're.killing.me" I said and started coughing as she released me. You could see she was about to apologize but suddenly started to laugh like hyena. I'm telling you she's total crazy.

"you should have seen your face. It was so funny and red, oh oh just like a tomato"she said in between her laughing session.

"Very funny. I wouldn't have looked like a tomato if didn't crushed me with your friendly hug"I said glaring at her.

"Hmmm true...i'm sorry but you love me so it's alright."she said giving me a puppy dog eyes and then with a smirk on her face. Take it from her to actually apologies.

Ignoring her I closed the door and made my way to the living room. Before I could say make yourself at home Jess was already plopped down on one of the sofa and seemed to be made herself at home. Shaking my head lightly and smiling I sat down beside her.

"So, what do you want to do" Since we didn't planed anything I asked her.

"We could watch a movie, paint our nails, do embarrassing dance or just nothing." seeing my blank look she added "or we could just sit around here, i guess". I wanted to laugh so bad at how from being so over cheerful she went to looking confused or serious I guess.

" Well lets settle for a movie and later we can think something else. what do you want to watch"

"what say we go all romantic and watch Notebook."

"okay"

We ended up seeing most of the romantic movies collection I had. And every time the couples had a breakup Jess would cry and blabber about how they are perfect and shouldn't be away from each other. First time I laughed at her little breakdown but after a pointed look from her I decided it was better to suppress my laugh or soon I would end up dead.

Finally the movie marathon was over. Jess was sprawled out on the sofa. I yawned and decided to join her into the heaven of sleep.

"Hey sleepy head get up." Someone shouted.

"Jus-o-away." I replied , my voice slightly muffled by the pillow.

"If you didn't get up right now I'll throw a bucket of cold water on you"

That surely made me to get up from my slumber.

"Oh it's you" rubbing my eyes to remove the sleepiness.

"Well what you expected , Prince Jackson" Jessica teased.

It was enough to make me to blush and Jess to get another dose of laughter.

"Just shut up" I said. And got to the washroom to freshen up a bit.

"So what's next " I asked Jess. Sitting down next to her on the couch.

"I don't know. What about some shopping for tomorrow"

"What's tomorrow?" I asked confused, did I forgot something I thought.

"The carnival, now get your lazy ass up princess." She said pulling me up to get ready for another shopping marathon.

After two hours, thirty minutes and 15 seconds of aimless walking in the town Jess couldn't find her perfect dress. Don't get me wrong I do love shopping but not to the extent of walking from to store to store for hours and not buy a single dress. Jess said that the dress should be perfect as it was one of the biggest events of the town. If I didn't know her well I would believe she was rather dressing up for someone special, well now thinking it can be one of the cases.

"That's the one. " Jess exclaimed holding a knee length floral halter neck dress. I sighed finally the torture was over and we can eat.

"Do you wanna try it. " I asked eyeing her warily. Oh please just say no.

"I think it will be perfect." She said.

Thank god.

"What....?"Jess said raising an eyebrow at me .

Did I said that aloud.

Nervously chuckling I said " nothing . Let's eat." I picked up our bags and decided to wait for her outside the shop.

After eating at a nearby restaurant and discussing our plans for tomorrow we decided to call it a day and bid our farewell.

This life was what I was missing. Carefree shopping, friendly banter with a friend, and non-stop eating.

The place which I call my home was more like a prison for me. People would watch how I dress, what I eat, how I walk , it was all so creepy. But it was soon it became more of habit until today I had a taste of what being free is like.
And I'll enjoy it as long as I can have it.
