~*Chapter 31*~ The Challenge [Edited]

~Narrator's POV~

Natsu and Lucy went inside the boardwalk. It's not that crowded since the boardwalk is so big, but there are a lot of people. Lucy walked side by side with Natsu, so they won't get seperated. There's loud music and lots of tents, lots of rides, and lots of delicious food. As Lucy looked around her while she was walking, she smiled and her eyes would widened in amazement.

"Wow! This is amazing!" She said, happily. Natsu looks at her and chuckles.

"Yeah, I went here with my mom and Wendy once." Nastu told her.

"That must've been so much fun!"

"Well, let's go play some games first." Natsu said. He grabs Lucy's wrist and went to a tent.

"Hey, Luce. Let's play this game." He pointed at the one with bottles stacking up.

"Okay, sure!" She said with excitement.

They walked up to the person in charge of the game.

"Why hello, young couple!" He said to them.

They both blushed. "N-No sir. We are just friends." Natsu said.

He smirks. "Whatever, so do you want to play?" He asks the both of them.

"Um, how do you play?" Lucy asks.

"Well, pretty lady, it's a simple game. You just hit the bottles. If you knock them down in one hit, you get a prize!" He said.

"You get it, Luce?" Natsu said.

"Yep!"

"Okay, I would like to play then." Natsu said. He paid the person. The person gave him a baseball. Natsu thows the ball and all the bottles fell. "Congratulations, sir, you won a teddy bear!" The person said. He gave the teddy bear to Natsu.

"Thank you, sir." Natsu politely said. Then, the both of them left. Lucy chuckles.

"What's so funny?" Natsu asked.

"Mr. Dragneel! I didn't know you were so polite!" She teased. Natsu looks at her stunned.

"Well, of course you have to be polite of the elderly."

"Well, you're not polite to Master." She grins. Natsu was stunned. His cheeks turned pink of embarrassment. He turned away, so she wouldn't see.

"W-whatever." Then, he held the teddy bear to Lucy. "Here, take it." He insisted.

Lucy blushed. "Are you sure? You won the prize."

"It's too girly for me anyways." Natsu said. Lucy giggles.

"Wow, Mr. Dragneel is too grown up for toys." Lucy said. He growls, silently. She grabs the teddy bear and they both went to another tent.

"Thank you, Natsu."

"No problem."

This tent is bigger than the others. But Lucy is really confused about this one. She sees a bunch of people sitting next by each other on a stool. Natsu looked at Lucy, noticing that she's staring at the big tent. He stops, which made Lucy stop.

""Do you want to play Luce?" Natsu asked. Lucy looked at him. She nodded vigorously.

"Hello! Do you two want to play this? It's simple! Just hit the target with the water gun. Whoever hits to the top first, wins a prize!" The lady said.

"Yes." Natsu said.

"Alrighty! Take a seat, you two!"

"Okay, sit next to me, Luce." He said.
