~*Chapter 6*~ Nice to Meet You {Edited}

~Lucy's POV~

I slightly open my eyes. The first thing I see is a blurred light. As my vision began to come back to me, I look straight up and I could tell that I wasn't in the cold, wet cave anymore. It looks like I'm in someone's house. Wait.... Someone's house!?! Have I been kidnapped??

I started to panic. As I immediately got up from where I was laying down, something hard bumps on to my forehead.

"OW!"

I lay back down on the soft cushion I was on and hissed from the pain while I massaged my forehead.

"Natsu, you idiot! You didn't have to be so close to her!" A girly voice yelled out.

"Ergh... I didn't know that she was going to move that fast!" The boy hissed.

I slowly turn my head to the direction of the voices. It's a boy and a little girl. The boy has strange pink spiky hair and the little girl has long blue hair. Shouldn't that be the other way around?...

"Darlings please! Be respectful!" That voice... It can't be...

I see... Mommy!?! I immediately grab a pillow and scream.

"P-Please don't hurt me, Mommy! I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry!" I choked. Tears began to flow down my cheeks.

"She's panicking!"

Then, an unexpected poke touches my forehead. I look up from the pillow and see the boy with pink hair.

"Why did you call my mom your mommy?" The boy, Natsu, asks in a curious way.

"W-What?" I remove the pillow off my face. She wasn't my mom. She looks like mommy, but with lighish bluish hair. She even sounds like her... I turn my head to see the boy again.

"Why are you crying?" he asks. I can tell he is looking at me with worry. I quickly wipe my tears off my cheeks.

"S-Sorry..." I sniffed, looking down. I can feel him looking  at me with a confused look. Then, the lady sits next by me and gave me a reassuring smile.

"I-I'm sorry... I thought you were my mom." I said as I clenched my fists on top of my thighs.

"It's okay, darling." she said when she smiled.

Then, I turn back to look at Natsu. "I'm also sorry for hitting your forehead with mine. I thought I got kidnapped and-"

"Pfft, what kind of imagination do you have?? You didn't get kidnapped. And you got a really hard head." He said as he's massaging his forehead with a little grin on his face.

"Natsu! You don't say that to a girl!" The lady yelled at him.

"U-Um. Could you please tell me where I am?" I ask the lady.

"You're in the house of the Dragneel's, and you're in a town called Magnolia." She answers in a genuine tone.

Magnolia? Where's that at? It's probably still in Fiore, but I probably won't be going back to the mansion...

"What's your name?" The lady asks.

"Lucy Heartfilia. I'm 10 years old." I introduced.

"Awww. That's a cute and pretty name. Especially for a cute and pretty girl like you." she said smiling.

My cheeks are burning up. "U-uh thank you, but I'm not pretty..."

"And you're modest too." She chuckles. "Just accept it." She's a very nice person.
"Oh, I'm sorry we didn't introduced ourselves. I am the mother of these two. My name is Grandine Dragneel." she said. Then, the little girl shows up in front of me.

"My name is Wendy. I am 6 years old. You're really pretty Lucy! Don't deny it!" she advised me. Her eyes are glittering as if I am somewhat pretty. I smile back at the notion. We both smiled. She's so sweet.

The boy, Natsu, came up to me and takes his hand out while looking away.
"The name is Natsu. I am 11 years old. Nice to meet you, Lucy." Why's he looking away? And wow, he's a year older than me. He's really childish though. I slowly smile and I grab his hand and shake it.

"It's nice to meet you too, Natsu." Wendy sat next by me and Natsu stood in front of me. These people are really nice. I got up from the couch and slowly walk to the door.

"Where are you going?" Mrs. Grandine ask me.

"Anywhere, I guess. I'm sorry that I caused you trouble. Thank you for everything." I said, trying to act cheerful.

When I opened the door, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and see that it's Natsu. "Why not stay here? You can't go anywhere in that condition. And besides, we're the ones who brought you in." I look down. He's right. I didn't notice the bandages on me.

"A-Are you sure? I don't want to bother you guys."

"Its fine deary," Mrs. Grandine walks up to me, "You can stay here as long as you want." she said while smiling.

I look at the family. They are all smiling at me. After everything that happened, I feel like I don't deserve this. But these people, this family.... I want to be happy again. Tears were going down my face. "Okay, I will stay here."
