~Beginning of the Party~

The maids and servants and chefs are all busy fixing, decorating, and cooking for the grand Masquerade ball. Everyone is working hard because Mr. Heartfilia wants this ball to be perfect.

As Lucy was walking around in her dress and high heels, she sees everyone is busy. The kitchen's aroma was overwhelmed by the smell of delicious food, the ballroom filled with tables and chairs but a big opening in the middle for the dance floor, the disco ball hanging down from the ceiling, everything is amazing. Whenever she walks past servants and maids, they would tell her "Congratulations!" or "Congratulations for your engagement!" She can tell that her father didn't tell them that they haven't met yet. But the talk she had with her dad earlier, still gave her goosebumps.

~FLASHBACK~
~Lucy's POV~
Later in the morning...

"Dad... It's me." I said behind the door. My whole body is shaking. I hope I have enough courage... Please mom. Give me the courage to say the words I want to say to him!

"Enter." He said with his serious tone. I gulped. I opened the door and I see him writing stuff down on a piece of paper while he was working on it on his desk. I walked in front of his desk. He stops writing and looks up at me.

"If you want to know who's your fiancé, might as well give up. And after the party you will be leaving with your fiancé to go to a paradise island. " He said, harshly. So harsh... I shook my head.

"Thanks for the information. But, that's not what I came for." I said to him. "This is what I'm going to say." I took a deep breath.

"Dad. The reason why I left was because you were selfish and you were being mean to me." I said to him.

"You..." He looks really mad. But I stood in that same spot, not trying to shake anymore.

"You never cared about me. You were never kind to me. You never loved me as your own daughter."

"Stop it right now!" He yelled.

"No!" I yelled back. He looks at me in shock. Just, give me more courage mom.

"You would always blame me for mom's death!" I yelled. I started to tremble. I started to cry.

"After mom died, I thought you would be comforting me saying 'Its going to be alright. I'm here.' But you didn't... You made me regret it even more...
All I ever wanted was a dad who would be proud of his daughter's work by complimenting her, fatherly loving his daughter, who would care about his daughter when she's sad or in pain, who would be there by his daughter's side..." I sniffed. "But... You're not like that."

"Lucy, go to your room right now!" He yelled, ferociously.

"NO! This is the truth! You can't be running away from the truth! The truth will always be there!" I yelled to him, straight up. More tears kept pouring down my eyes.

He looks at me with anger, but I kept on going.

"Dad, I love you so much... But you are just ignoring me, abusing me, and leaving me all alone. You are stuck in the past! You can blame me for mom's death. I was too weak to protect her... But I'm not going to regret it anymore. If I do regret, I will have people who will make choices for me and I won't be able to move on..."

He gets up from his chair immediately. This made me scared, but I am ready for it. He walks around his desk and stands right in front of me. He brings up his hand to the air. I close my eyes to wait for the impact. But there was nothing. As I opened my eyes, I can see frustration in his eyes. He puts his hand down and turns around, facing his back towards to me.
