Anya sat at her desk beside Becky, writing down some notes.
She was in math class. Specifically, the last class for the day. She would be happy to leave but she has a busy evening.
She has to complete a mission given to her yesterday and head to headquarters to report and attend her tutoring. After that, she has to study and finish school work.
A very busy evening indeed.
"Ms. Forger." The teacher called, turning to face her.
"Please answer this question for me." He said, gesturing to the problem written on the board.
She stood up and answered, hoping that it was correct.
"Well done. Could you show us your solution?" He asked, impressed at how much she improved.
She took her notebook and read out her solution, praying that she did it right.
"Excellent work Ms. Forger. I must say, you have improved greatly since your elementary days." He smiled and turned back to the board, continuing the lesson.
Anya sat back down and faced Becky with an excited grin, who returned it with a smugg smirk.

When the bell ringed, Anya grabbed all of her things and shoved them into her bag, not having the time to think about cleanliness.
She rushed out the classroom, leaving her friend behind.
"Anya-chan! Wait!" Becky called as she scrambled to close her bag. Once she did, she ran out, grabbing Anya's wrist to stop her from walking.
"Wait! Why are you leaving? Aren't we supposed to go shopping today?"
Anya's eyes widened in realization as she recalled the long conversation they had about it.
"Gomenasai, Becky. I can't today. I have to pick up groceries." She excused, using the lie she had quickly made as she turned to face her.
A frown entered the brown headed girl's face.
"Uhm, but I can go with you tomorrow if you want?" Anya suggested, panicking as she saw the look on her face.
Becky sighed.
"It's fine. Do what you need to do. We can go shopping when you're not busy." She said, giving a half hearted smile.
She was honestly looking forward to walking around in a mall carrying bags of clothes with Anya.
Lately, it seems she hasn't had he time to go out. She was always busy and left before she can even talk to her. Anya doesn't even talk to her daily anymore.
The last time they spoke to each other was when she came to her house to review some lessons with her but left quickly as she had other things to do.
That was days ago and Anya hasn't even talked to her for more than 5 minutes.
After the pink headed girl waved a goodbye and said a quick sorry, Becky sat at the bench in he courtyard, shoulders slumped.
"What happened to you?"
She looked up and saw Damian looking at her weirdly.
"None of your business Desmond." She sighed, rolling her eyes.
"Does it have something to do with Anya?" He asked, watching the shorter girl jog out of the school.
She nodded sadly.
"Do you wanna talk?" He offered, surprising Becky. Since when does this bastard care?
She nodded again, not thinking too much about it. She needed someone to vent to and here was the guy who is crushing on her best friend offering his ear.
Damian sat beside her, putting a little distance.
"I don't think Anya likes me anymore..." She admitted, her head falling.
When she saw his mouth open to ask, she decided to beat him to it.
"We haven't gone out much anymore because she was always busy. And we rarely ever talk anymore."
"She would always be going somewhere and she never tells me where. She says she has an errand to run but I know that's a lie. Her parents wouldn't give her so much stuff to do." She explained.
Damian remained silent. He didn't know what to say so he decided on letting her vent.
"I get that she focuses on studies and family more, that's understandable. But it's like I don't matter to her anymore. She got everything she wanted. Good grades and a happy family. I'm happy for her. It just feels like I've been tossed aside."
Damian nodded along, understanding her feelings. He still remembers that time when his father wasn't that successful and they were a family.
Oh how he wishes to go back to that time.
"It shouldn't hurt this much but it does. Anya was my only friend. Everyone thought I was a spoiled brat so I couldn't talk to anyone. But Anya, she was the best. She put up with me even if I was a bad friend." She said, admitting to the truth.
"I'm sure Anya didn't mean to make you feel like that. You know how she is. No matter how good her grades are, she's still a little dumb. She probably got too caught up in whatever it is she's doing that she forgot about everything else."
He honestly wasn't taking sides. Anya was wrong for hurting her best friend but she was oblivious to it.
Becky was right for feeling hurt but she was wrong to misunderstand. She was wrong not to talk to Anya about it.
"Yeah I thought about that. But why is she lying to me?"
Damian was silent.
"And what is it that she's doing anyway?"
"Anya grew up. You can't expect her not to have any responsibilities. And she needs her own privacy too. You guys tell each everything I'm sure but people need to have boundaries. They can't tell everyone things that should not be said. She could be hiding something very personal or something that she's forbidden to talk about. Either way, it's none of our business." He snapped.
After a moment's silence, she spoke up, taking in all the things he said.
"You're right..." She mumbled, admitting it as she hung her head.
Of course he was right. Anya needs her own space. She isn't the person she used to be. She has responsibilities. She has private things no one can know.
She was just used to Anya always telling her everything. Looks like she still hasn't moved on from when they were kids...

A/N: this is a pretty boring chapter honestly. I just wanted you guys to know about her side of the story and how she's feeling. A little angsty but that's what I live for.
