Anya looked up at the man pinning her down with a scowl hidden behind her mask.
She tried to wiggle her wrists free but it proved to be no use as his grip got tighter.
She was being held down on the ground by a man that had been chasing her for the last few minutes when he spotted her taking a USB from the pocket of his dead boss.
He finally got her when she turned to a dead end.
He was sitting on her, his weight preventing her from moving.
His hands kept a tight hold on her arms as he loomed over her with an angry sneer.
"You won't wiggle yourself out of this, brat." He spat.
"Where's the flash drive?" He growled out, his voice low and threatening.
Anya didn't answer.
"Fine then."
He let go of her right arm and reached onto the holster underneath the hem of his jacket, pulling out his gun.
It was a mistake to let go.
With her now free arm, she punched his face, catching him off guard.
He swayed above her and clutched his face with his other hand, freeing her left arm.
She brought her head up as fast as she could and banged it with his forehead, successfully making him get off of her and fall back.
She stood up and felt around the zipped up pocket of her pants to make sure the flash drive was still there.
When she looked back at the man who now had a black eye, bleeding nose, and a bruised forehead, he already had his gun in hand.
"You brat!" He screamed out and pulled the trigger.
Anya simply cocked her head to the side and the bullet flew past her, dodging it with ease.
She stared at the man with cold, irritated eyes.
In her perspective, he was nothing but a nuisance to her mission.
She knows he was watching when she heartlessly stabbed his leader.
She had thought that he would back off and stay silent when she glanced at him from the corner of her eyes.
But he was stubborn as hell.
As a spy, if there had been any witnesses they were automatically tasked to eliminate them to avoid exposures.
And WISE didn't particularly like loose ends.
Anya had mercilessly killed hundreds over the last few years and didn't feel an ounce of guilt.
She had been trained by Nightfall to have a rock hard, ice cold heart after all.
"Tch. Your tricks don't work on me. Unless you want to die right here, right now, I suggest you back off." She spoke in a deep, heartless voice.
She had mastered the skill of masking and changing her voice a few months back.
"Your threats are nothing!" He stood back up and aimed the gun at her head, finger hovering over the trigger.
"Go ahead. Shoot me." She taunted, mocking his previous attempt.
Without a word, he fired.
She quickly ducked down and dodged once more.
She placed her hands down and put her weight into them as she spinned around with her legs extended as she intended on tripping him.
