Olivia's POV

"Court side to see LeBron play is something I can get used to," my brother Jordan says and I nod as I watch Spencer warm-up.

"Well, this is my birthday gift to you. So don't say I've never done anything for you."

"It's the least you could do after leaving me in LA with your mom all these years."

"Are you two still beefing?"

"I just feel like she's trying to run my life. It's like when J got hurt and yall had to go stay with Pops, she grabbed hold of me tightly and refused to let go." He explains. "But that's for another day. Tell me what's been happening in Philly. How's Jerald—-Lena?"

"Everyone is good. Although I don't get to see much of them."

"Oh yeah? Why not?" He asks sincerely.

"Work—- I've been really wrapped up in a case." I admit.

"That must suck when it comes to you and Spencer's relationship." He comments and I sigh. "How's the long distance relationship going?"

"I keep thinking it's becoming a problem, but my therapist thinks I'm getting in my own head."

"Are you?" Jordan asks and I look over at the cheesy smile Spencer has as he jogs off of the court.

"I mean, he looks happy, right?" I ask and Jordan shrugs.

"Yeah. Looks like it."

"Right—-" I say lowly as I try to convince myself.

"Looks like somebody's about to call Philly quits already! I get it though! Pro sports and long distance relationships just don't go together. Especially with these sexy ass women sitting court-side." Jordan says with all types of enthusiasm as he looks around. "God bless pro-athletes."

I roll my eyes at his snarky remarks and try not to let it get to me.

"Not that you would know anything about this, but some guys actually have self-control."

"Yeah? Well, God bless them too!"

I hand him a napkin. "That's for all of your slimy drool!"

"Oh, there's our boy!" Jordan comments as Spencer jogs back out of the locker room and stops short of the court. "Oooh! But who is that smoke-show?"

I cut my eyes and try to pretend this Erika girl popping up as his new assistant isn't a little bit uncomfortable for me

I cut my eyes and try to pretend this Erika girl popping up as his new assistant isn't a little bit uncomfortable for me.

"We all know Spencer's stock is up after his amazing rookie season." I respond. "So his publicist hired an assistant to keep up with all of his events and things."

"I should've taken basketball more seriously," Jordan comments as he uses his hand to fan himself.

I'm not the insecure type. But knowing Erika will be spending more time with my man than me, most days, is a little annoying, to say the least.
