I only have a few hours left with Olivia, and I refuse to spend it talking about some stupid theory her brother pulled out his ass tonight.

So I keep the conversation light for the rest of dinner. And we make it out of there without having to discuss cuts, bandages, creams and whatever else Liv brought up at the beginning of our evening together.

Our night ends with Liv and I lying in bed, catching up on our favorite television show that we refuse to watch without one another.

"How can he really sit there and let her cry?" Liv yells at the tv screen and I chuckle. "I think Jake should validate Opal's feelings."

"I just think it's hard for Jake to do anything when she didn't tell him how she felt in the first place? Is he supposed to just take a lucky guess?" I question and she kisses her teeth at my take.

Her glare over the shoulder lets me know she doesn't agree.

"That's not what I'm saying, Spencer! But as her boyfriend, he should notice when she's in need of more than just sex or flowers. Opal is crying out for reassurance in their relationship and he's done nothing to help her."

"Maybe she should stop making him guess how she's feeling and just tell him!"

A knock at the door interrupts our conversation and I can't say I'm upset about that at all.

So I get out of bed and open the door to see Brent standing there with a folder in hand.

"What's up?" I ask as he walks in.

"Nothing much! I just have some business to attend to for the next couple of weeks here in LA and wanted to go over some things before you leave."

"C'mon, B! I told you before, when I'm with my lady, I don't have time for this."

"This should be quick! As you know, we're approaching a year of working together and it's time for my contract re-negotiations with the agency. So if you can sign this to recognize you want to continue services with me—"

"—-What's going on, Spencer?" Liv interrupts as he reaches the paper towards me.

"I was just going to sign the request to have Brent back."

Liv looks at the clock on the wall as I lay the paper on the counter to sign and she stops me.

"When do you need this by?"
