"Dammit!" I say as I turn back around to get my briefcase from my office.
When I walk inside the lobby, the receptionist smiles as I wait for the elevator to come.
It dings and the doors open with Spencer standing on the other side.
He grins as if the weight of the world has just been lifted from his shoulders.
I watch as he steps off of the elevator and points to the sky as if God has answered his prayers.
"You're back—- and you're smiling," I say as I recall the way he poured out of my office earlier.
He nods and greets me with a big hug before swinging me around and I can't help but to laugh at his excitement while he kisses my cheek.
"Spencer, I'm not staying in Philadelphia," I tell him as my feet finally touch the ground. "I was trying to tell you this earlier. But—- you got upset. Granted, I should've led with I'm going to Dallas. But I was sort of hoping I could finish my thoughts before you stormed out."
"I know. And I promise to work on that. But it just felt like you and I were spiraling and I honestly panicked when I heard two more years." He says and I accept his apology.
"I love you so much! And all of the nonsense that has taken place over the past month or so may have clouded my thoughts a little bit. And confused the hell out of me. But it didn't change the fact that I love you."
He chuckles and I'm not sure what's funny. "I showed up prepared to give you every reason possible to move to Dallas. And just like I thought, the most important reason is that I love you and you love me."
I blush as he steps back and stares at me with a cheesy grin that I can't help but to match.
"Dallas? You, me—— finally!" I scream as he kisses me.
"Finally!" He whispers as he stares into my eyes.
"Oh, but only under one condition, Spencer!" I tell him and he looks at me curiously.
"Anything you want!"
