"Olivia, I can't find something that was really important to me—- important to us." I say as my heart races a mile minute.
She looks at me and a smile starts to creep onto her face.
"Was it in a black bag?" She asks and I instantly realize she knows something.
"How'd you know that?"
She covers her mouth and begins to fight back a cheesy grin.

"What's funny?" I ask confused.
"You're going to propose to me tonight, aren't you?" She asks and my eyebrows scrunch in confusion.
"How do you know? I purposely didn't tell big mouth Kia because I know she can't hold water. And you weren't around Ashton for him to blab his oversized lips. My mom definitely can keep a secret. So was it my dad? He's just starting to earn my trust——" I rattle off and she giggles while waving her hands no.
"Wait—- no! No one told me anything! It's just that your mom brought me some bags to pack my things inside and your duffle bag was included."
I sigh and begin to laugh as soon as I realize how this story will go.
"Are you serious?" I ask as I cover my face. "Mom—-"
"The ring is beautiful, baby! And it fits perfectly," Liv jokes and I shake my head as she reaches over with open arms and kisses me all over my face.
"I can't believe she did that! She hasn't touched my room since I left for college."
Liv giggles a little more and I shake my head a little while longer. "It's still a special night to me though. We can go get the ring and I'll pretend like I had no clue."
"Babe, I had a whole speech— there's lights and letters—- nothing went how I planned!" I tell her and she pokes her lips out with sympathy.
"It's okay, Spencer—- I don't need all of that! I mean, the grand gesture is appreciated. But things happen, baby!"
Her words make me calm and her embrace makes everything okay.
"We could do that—- or I could tell you all of the reasons why I would be honored to be your husband?"
