I can't believe it... vampires really exist!!! - Part 21

You held onto your stomach as you slowly ceased your laughter and suddenly your stomach gave a grumble loud enough to be heard by everyone in the room. Your face heat up as you held onto your stomach tighter. “From that I’m guessing your hungry” Dante said smirking at you, you looked down avoiding his gaze. He laughed then climbed out of the bed “Well come on, let’s go get some breakfast” he said walking over to the door, “Okay” you uttered and climbed out of the bed and walked over to Dante. Dante opened the door and motioned for you to go and so you did then he followed behind you.

                                  

Before you even reached the steps your thoughts started taking over * Man… I can’t believe Dante is a vampire… no wonder he is so cute… and not to mention hot! Especially when he took off his shirt last night* you thought smiling *Oh yeah, speaking of being a vampire Dante hasn’t told me bout his powers yet*. “Dante” you said looking at him, “Yea?” he responded glancing at you. “You haven’t told me about any of your special powers yet” you inquired looking at Dante. “Oh really, I haven’t?” he asked looking like he was in thought. “Yea you haven’t so what are they?” you nagged looking curious. “Well.. one of them is mind reading” he replied grinning mischievously. Your eyes suddenly grew wide and you gulped “R-r-really?” you asked nervously. Dante laughed “Yes, really” he answered smiling. You gulped again *Oh no… how embarrassing!* you thought as your face heat up. “But, I can’t seem to read your mind for some reason…” he said trailing off. You looked at him surprised and then sighed in relief *Thank heaven* you thought gratefully.

“Huh..” you uttered blinking your eyes “Wait, why can’t you read my thoughts?” you asked curiously looking at Dante. He shrugged “I don’t know.. I’m able to read everybody’s but yours and I don’t understand why it is like that.. I’ve never come across something like this before” he informed looking lost in thought. You looked down frowning *Is there something wrong with me? Maybe it’s because I’m not very smart* you thought sighing. You reached the kitchen and entered but you saw it was completely empty. “Heh? Where is everybody?” you asked looking around “I thought they would be busy in here by now”. “Well they’re not working today” Dante replied walking over to the fridge, “Oh.. why?” you asked walking over to the table. “Well it’s Sunday, so they don’t work on Sundays.. it’s basically their days off and also our days of peace and quiet” he explained taking something out from the fridge. “Oh” you whispered nodding your head.

“And that’s also why I asked Liz yesterday to make us some flapjacks for today” he added removing a plastic lid from a square plastic container. You nodded *When did he do that?* you mentally questioned *Must have been when I was in his bathroom*. You watched as Dante placed the container into the microwave then went to the cupboard and took out some syrup and then butter from the fridge. “Lilly, do you mind getting some plates and silverware for us?” he asked placing the items on the table. You shook your head “Of course not, where?” you asked looking at him. He pointed towards the cupboards near the microwave. You opened up the cupboards and quickly found the plates then the silverware. You placed them on the table as he removed the container from the microwave.

Dante placed 3 flapjacks on each of your plates and you put on a piece of butter then poured syrup over them as he fetched two chairs. You both sat down and started eating. “So any other powers?” you asked glancing at him then putting a piece of flapjack into your mouth. Dante shook his head “So far, nope just the mind reading” he responded taking a bite of his flapjacks, “Really?” you asked astonished “Yea, some vampires have more than one power, but some have just one.. excluding the speed, strength and fast healing stuff of course” he explained smiling. You looked down at your plate “Oh..” you whispered, “Some vampires get their powers early and some a lot later, so it’s actually difficult to tell if you have just one power or more” he added taking another bite. “I see interesting” you said smiling.

After you both finished your flapjacks, you rinsed and placed the silverware and plates into the dishwasher. “There… so what we gonna do today?” Dante asked looking at you, you tapped your finger on your chin and then got an idea. You moved your hands to your back and held onto your hands “Well.. uhm.. maybe you can…” you said hesitantly looking down, Dante blinked his eyes “What? Tell me” he inquired smiling. You kept your head down and moved your eyes to his face “Uhm.. maybe you can.. s-show me y-your abilities” you asked flushing a light pink, Dante smirked at you “Oh, you wanna see what I can do… well..” he said then suddenly he was gone from your sight. “Huh!” you uttered blinking your eyes rapidly, “Lilly!” a voice said from behind you. “Ahhh!” you screamed and whipped around to see Dante grinning at you. “You scared the crap out of me!” you accused glaring at him, he chuckled “My bad” he said grinning sheepishly. You rolled your eyes at him then smiled “But that was pretty cool” you admitted.

“Say.. you’ve never seen our backyard before, have you?” Dante asked smiling evilly, you slightly flinched at the expression but shook your head “No, I haven’t.. why?” you asked a little curious. He grinned “Then I have to show you” he stated grabbing you and picking you up bridal style, you gasped and before you could protest he was off with you at an amazing speed. Your eyes snapped closed and you held tightly onto Dante. You kept your eyes closed even though Dante had stopped, he chuckled “Lilly.. open your eyes” he whispered close to your ear. You slowly opened up your eyes to see a huge garden. The garden was filled with so many different flowers, plants and trees and in the middle of it all was a huge maze.

(This is what the whole backyard looks like, the garden part, but that’s not what the maze looks like)

“Wow..” you breathed as your eyes danced over the garden “It’s so beautiful”, Dante slowly put you down “Thank you, I’m glad you like it” he said smiling. You started walking towards the maze and stopped in front of the entrance. “Wow.. I wonder how big it is, cause it sure does look insanely huge” you stated waving your hands about, Dante laughed “Yea, it sure is big but that’s what makes it more amazing and a hell of a lot of fun”. You tilted your head to the side looking at Dante “’Amazing’, yes a lot but ‘fun’.. exactly how? As far as I would figure you get lost in a maze which is creepy cause you can’t find your way out” you stated, “True, but if you add a goal and a game to it, it’s a lot of fun and kinda adventures” he said smiling widely. You slowly nodded your head “Ohh..” you whispered.

Suddenly Dante’s expression showed that he had an idea, he softly whistled looking from side to side. You blinked your eyes then raised an eyebrow at him, “You wanna play a game, Lilly?” he asked in a mischievous tone smirking.
