You opened your eyes to see nothing, nothing but darkness. Suddenly a bright light appeared above you and you shielded your eyes. After your eyes adjusted to the light you looked around you. It was still dark all around you, only you were visible. Far in front of you was something misty white-like but you couldn’t make out what it was. “You shall be punished” came a man’s voice from the front but you could not see anyone. “Yes, you must receive punishment” an other man’s voice came from your left, “You know our secret so you must vanish!” a woman’s voice yelled from your right. “You are useless anyway. There is no need for you, disappear from this world!” another male voice yelled. Your head turned from side to side your eyes wide, trying to see something… anything.

“Time for you to die” an old man’s voice commanded. Your eyes grew wider as they shook and 4 red eyed shadows appeared all around you. You gasped looking around and the shadows started closing in on you. “No…” you whispered as they approached you. The shadows bared their fangs at you and you took a step backwards. “Lilly!” you heard a voice yell, you looked behind you to see Dante in the distance running towards you, his hand outstretched. “Dante?” you whispered tears in your eyes. The shadows surrounded you closely making it hard for you to see Dante. “Lilly!!” Dante yelled again. The tears started falling from your eyes “Dante…” you said softly and closed your eyes. “DANTE!!!” you yelled outstretching your hand towards him as the shadows engulfed you. “Lilly! Lilly!! Lilly!!!” Dante yelled his voice rising.

Your eyes shot open and you gasped as you quickly sat up straight. Your eyes shook as you breathed heavily, your body wet from sweat making some of your hair stick to your face. A hand took a hold of your shoulder and your head snapped in the direction. You sighed softly when you saw it was your mom “Honey… are you okay?” your mom asked concerned. You closed your mouth gulping and then nodded “Y-y-yea I’m fine mom” you stuttered looking in front of you. “Are you sure? Cause as far as I know you’ve never had nightmares before… or should I say daymares” your mom said furrowing her eyebrows. You sighed closing your eyes as you tried slowing down your racing heart “I’m fine really mom, just a bad dream, that’s all” you reassured once again. Your eyes shot open “Wait! What do you mean ‘daymares’?” you asked raising an eyebrow at her. Your mom looked at you “Oh I said that cause it’s already past 6 in the afternoon” your mom explained smiling “Or does that count as night? It’s still light outside though”

Your jaw dropped to the ground and your eyes bulged twice their size. “WHAT?!!!” you yelled in disbelief. You threw your comforter off of yourself and practically fell out of your bed. You went over to your closet and started rummaging through it. “What’s wrong, honey?” your mom asked, “Oh geez I gotta hurry up or else I’ll be late!” you yelled throwing clothes from your closet. “For what?” your mom asked walking over to you, “I can’t believe I didn’t wake up when my alarm went off. I can’t be late, I have to finish before Dante gets here” you said in panic holding a t-shirt up in front of you then you shook your head and threw it to the side.

Your mom blinked her eyes then realization was visible on her face “Oh yes, Dante is coming to pick you up to take you to the carnival and you’ve overslept” your mom said smirking. Your eye twitched in irritation “You’re no help. You didn’t remember either!” you pointed out glaring at your mom, your mom laughed “Oh honey, relax you’ll finish in time. You better hurry still though you have like 45 minutes left before Dante gets here” your mom informed and walked towards your door leaving your room. You sighed and continued to search until you found something that satisfied you. You placed the clothes on your bed then went to your bathroom and took a shower, dried yourself off and brushed your teeth.
