You stared at Dante for a few seconds “W-what kind of game?” you asked nervously, Dante grinned “Oh it’s really simple and a lot of fun and there’s a reward in it for each of us” he explained. For some reason you felt that there was gonna be more to this game idea than you would want there to be. “Okay, sure I’ll play.. so what are the rules and rewards and stuff?” you asked crossing your arms, Dante smirked and there was a spark in his eyes. “Well the game is as follows: We are both gonna start at a different entrance of the maze. Your goal is to reach the other entrance of the maze; the one opposite from where you start. My goal is to find and catch you before you are able to reach the other entrance and exit the maze” he explained.

You gaped at him “Wait, that’s not gonna be fair.. you must know this maze like the back of your hand!” you pointed out frowning at him. He nodded “Yes, true.. I do know this maze well, but I don’t know which turns you’re gonna take and where you’re gonna go, so it will still be hard for me to find you” he stated smiling. You slowly nodded “I guess that’s true.. but wait, you’re a vampire which means you have incredible speed so you’ll be able to find me within seconds!” you pointed out again raising an eyebrow at him. Dante chuckled “Lilly, I promise not to use my abilities.. besides it would make this game way less fun than it should be then” he assured you smirking. “And another thing, who says you won’t wait for me to come at the other exit instead of trying to find me?” you asked folding your arms, he sniggered “I promise you, that I won’t do” he swore with a genuine smile. You smiled “Okay, I believe you. So what are the rewards?” you asked curiously.

Dante smirked evilly; his eyes sparkling with mischief and you couldn’t help but gulp. “Well if you are able to exit the maze on the opposite entrance before I can catch, you can have anything you want” he said grinning. Your eyes blinked a few times as you stared at Dante surprised “A-anything?” you asked stuttering. He nodded “Anything.. no matter what it is” he assured with a serious look. “Awesome!” you yelled pumping your fist into the air, “But if I catch you before you exit the maze on the opposite entrance then I get to drink your blood” he added smirking. Your eyes bulged “Y-you mean like actually b-b-bite me and then d-drink my b-b-blood from me?” you asked stammering, he nodded his head and looked into your eyes “Exactly” he mused and licked his lips. Your eyes grew even wider and your face turned red while you gulped and started shaking. “Well.. uhm.. I ehh.. I don’t think-” you were cut off by Dante, “Great, so the goals are known as well as the rewards and so we can begin. As soon as I leave start counting to 60 and then enter the maze” he informed smiling. You blinked at Dante “But I-” you began again, “Okay then bye, get ready!” he yelled and then ran off at his amazing speed. You stared at the direction he went in with your mouth hanging open “But, but… oh crap…” you mumbled.

“Now what do I do?” you asked yourself chewing on your nail. *Oh what’s wrong with me? Why am I being such a scaredy cat all of a sudden? I can do this.. besides if I lose all that’s gonna happen is he’s just going to drink my blood and that’s not so bad, right?* you mentally convinced yourself. You turned and stared at the entrance of the maze as you started to count “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10…”

Dante’s POV:

 

I quickly and easily reached the other entrance of the maze. *This is gonna be fun…* I thought smirking *Aww Lilly looked so adorable when I told her if she loses I’ll drink her blood, she looked so shocked and a lil scared.. I guess she really wasn’t expecting that*. I looked up at the sky then straight in front of me again “Lilly must be past 30 seconds by now…” I stated leaning against the side of the maze’s entrance.
