trunks's future

Venus flew around the city, looking around for Gohan. It was currently pouring and she figured she was going to get really sick but she wouldn't stop until she made sure he was safe. "Gohan!" she looked around.

She lowered herself a bit into the city until she finally found a body laying in the middle of the street.

Her heart stopped.

"Gohan!" she kneeled beside him, grabbing his body and laying his head on her lap. "Gohan," she sobbed into the crook of his neck. She pressed her forehead onto his as she sobbed.

Her heavy panting soon turned into a roar, "Gohan!"

Venus jumped up, realizing she had another nightmare. She exhaled as she looked next to the empty spot next to her.

She checked the time and realized it was time to get out of bed. As she got up she grabbed the ring on her nightstand, putting it on her left ring finger. The ring Gohan gave her just before her world was shattered.

She got up and proceeded to get ready for the day. Venus walked out of her room and went in to the kitchen for breakfast.

She greeted her mother and brother, "Good morning," she sighed as she rubbed her eyes. "Good morning," they replied.

"How'd you sleep?" her mother asked. "Alright," Venus lied as she grabbed a plate.

"Are we training today?" Trunks asked. "Yeah but later. I have to work on the time machine today with mom."

Trunks got up from his seat, "And look forward to today," Venus said as Trunks turned around. "I have a surprise for you," she smiled at him and looked down at her food as he walked out.

Venus and Bulma were currently in their lab. Venus was trying to do a couple test runs on the time machine, to see if it would at least turn on, but each one would fail. She grunted in annoyance and sat back in her chair.

"This is never gonna work," her eyes teared up looking towards the ceiling of the lab. "Well it's never gonna work if you don't keep trying," Bulma replied.

"I just feel like we're missing one last thing," she sighed as she continued staring at the ceiling, thinking about Gohan.

Bulma noticed her daughter's sadness, "Why don't you go train with Trunks, I'll keep working on the time machine." Venus lifted her head, "Are you sure?"

Bulma nodded and Venus jumped up from her seat and went back to her room. She changed into her training clothes and exited her room.

She walked down the hallway and knocked on Trunks's door, "It's time!" she kept walking towards the training room.

Trunks immediately ran out and followed after her, "So soon? I thought you were working on the time machine?"

Venus sighed, "I still couldn't figure it out, so mom told me to come train with you." Venus opened the door to the training room and clicked the gravity button, making it three hundred times stronger.
