Dianna's POV

I stared wide eye at Chase. Horror clear on my face. Chase looked alarmed.

"I know this is too much to take in but please Dianna. Please don't hate me just because I am considered old to humans." He pleaded.

I burst out laughing. Chase shot me a part hurt and part amused look. I laughed even harder.

Wiping away the tears from my eyes, I told him, "I am sorry. I was just trying to clear my mind so I decided to scare you a little."

Chase pouted and gave me a puppy hurt look. "I didn't know that I was so amusing."

Blushing slightly at his cuteness, I patted his arm comfortingly. Chase immediately looked serious.

"Margie and I used to study together as I am assigned to be her tutor for Chemistry. She always flunk her Chem. So we became friends." Chase explained.

"But since she has already graduated long ago, why are you not?"

"There is a pack law that states that an alpha have to be ace in something. My mother wanted me to ace in every single subject the school has. So I have been studying here for about twenty years. So far, I am left with Arts, Music and History." He said solemnly.

I stared at him in genuine horror this time. Every single subject?!? Wow. Chase has got to be a genius! Even I have difficulty getting even a 'B' for Physic and History! I was awed.

Chase grinned suddenly. "I know, I know. I am a genius." He smirked.

Giving him a mock glare, I smacked him on the arm. "Be more modest! Being a genius does not change the fact that you are an official pig!"

Rubbing his arm, he pouted. "What would be the point of getting good results when I am not allowed to show off?" He grumbled, before shooting me a cheeky grin. I found myself smiling back.

We must have been staring at each other too deeply for...

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way...

We nearly jumped a feet into the air when the ring tone of Christmas song rang out loud and clear. Chase blushed furiously.

"That is not my ring tone! It must be Cassie who set it!" Chase explained, still red in the ear. I giggled.

Chase quickly read the message. Suddenly, he look very uncomfortable. He was clutching the phone tightly and chewing on his lips nervously.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked, feeling concern.

"That was my erm...my mum actually. She...well, she erm...she wants to meet you..." Chase mumbled clearly very uncomfortable.

My eyes widen. Meet his mum?!? As in face to face?!? My goodness! I have only met Chase a few days ago and his mum wants to meet me! I got up and started pacing.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! What am I going to say to your mother? What if she doesn't like me? What if she thinks that....."

Chase interrupted my ranting. "Dianna, chill down! Please. Listen to me." He came up and guided me back to sit down.
