Third person pov:
Today Alessandro had a new employee start. This meant that Y/N would be left alone in the house for a while, which was fine with her. Alessandro had texted her everything that was going on, so she knew everything. Only Alessandro wasn't following the plan he told her.
Alessandro walked through the door an hour later than he had told Y/N. He hoped she wouldn't notice the time, but when he got to the kitchen and saw Y/N eating alone, he knew he was done for.
"You're late," Y/N said, not looking up from her food.
"I know Princess, I am sorry. I had so much business to attend to."
Over the years, the word business has become a code word for killing someone.
"Who was it this time?" she asks, not sounding surprised as this has become a weekly occurrence.
"A new starter of ours."
"Really?" Y/N asks. "You mean the one you spent months looking for. What was wrong with him?"
"He was in my office giving me some paperwork and I saw him staring at the picture of you in my office a bit too much."
"Your crazy."
"Only for you," Alessandro said, kissing her cheek then finding some food for himself.
Y/N rolls her eyes but can't help the small smile that appears on her lips. It wasn't the first time Alessandro had to take care of someone who was too interested in her. She knew it was his way of protecting her, even if it wasn't the most conventional way.
"I think we should watch a film," Alessandro said as he put the dishes in the dishwasher.
"Who are you and what have you done to my husband?" Y/N asks jokingly.
"I'm still here, but I'm tired and I just don't have much energy."
"Sounds good to me. Can it be a princess film, please?"
"Sure, anything for a real-life princess," Alessandro says, taking Y/N's hand in his and giving it a little kiss.
As the film ended and the credits rolled, Y/N looked up at Alessandro and said, "You know, you don't always have to resort to violence to protect me, do you?"
Alessandro looked at her, his expression serious. "I know that, Princess. But sometimes it's the only option I have."
Y/N nodded, knowing that Alessandro would do anything to protect her. She cuddled closer to him and closed her eyes, feeling safe and loved in his arms.
As they fell asleep, Alessandro whispered in Y/N's ear, "I love you, Princess. Always and forever."
Y/N smiled and whispered back, "I love you too, Bear. Always and forever."
Y/N smiled, Alessandro had a way of making her feel safe and loved, despite the danger that surrounded their lives.
