Y/N pov:
"The weather is so beautiful now. Now that school is over, I can finally enjoy the sun".
"That's right, Russo told me that his new girlfriend tans every day now," says Alessandro, not taking his eyes off the busy road.
"Wait, Russo has a girlfriend. I didn't know he had it in him,' I say with a chuckle.
"I haven't met her but Carlo's girlfriend Astoria has and she told us her name is Abigale and she's a bit strange," he says, taking his eyes off the road for a second to hold my hand.
"All Russo's girlfriends are a bit strange."
"That's true."
"Do you think mangoes are in season again?" I ask.
"I think so. And strawberries too, I hear."
"I could really do with some fresh fish."
"What are you doing for lunch today, if I may ask?"
"Well, I think I'm just going to sit in the bathroom and look at my phone, so nothing. Why do you ask?"
"What if you and I went to the shops and got some fresh food and had a picnic together?"
"Yes, I would like that."
"Perfect. I'll pick you up at 11 and drop you off at 1."
"That's 2 hours?"
"Yes, I know. There are only so many drug dealers with bad breath I can take before I have to see you, Bella," he mutters, kissing my hand.

2 and a half hours later
"Ok, I've got the strawberries, the blueberries and the mango," I say.
"OK, that's it," Alessandro says, picking up all the shopping bags before I can grab any.
"I can hold them, you know," I say in protest.
"Let's go to the car," he replies, putting his other hand on my waist and leading me out the door and down the street.
"The street is very quiet for an afternoon with friends. Usually there are tourists everywhere and people in all the shops with queues everywhere."
"I know, Princess, normally I have to push people out of the way, but today I don't have to, and look, there's no one in there," Alessandro says, pointing to my favourite shops.
"Um, yeah, no one in there," I say, not really concentrating as I spot the most beautiful pair of heels ever.
"Are you okay, princess?
"Yeah, I'm fine," I say, quickly turning my head away from the heels.
"Mmm," he says.

4 days later
It's a big day at the office. Something about an important meeting and a number, I'm not really sure, I didn't really listen to my boss, my boss is a pain in the ass and calls me in, but I'm supposed to be working with Alessandro in his office in the heart of the city. But that is not going to happen.
But it wasn't my office that bothered me, it was the people at work who were so annoying. My office is actually quite nice. It is really big and spacious and I have a great view of the city. I am also pretty sure that Alessandro is spying on me when I am working because he always knows what I am doing at work. But I don't mind, I just hope nobody else does.
"Oh, hello, Y/N," someone from the accounts department said as I got out of the lift.
"Hello," I replied, really confused.
Why is everyone looking at me so strangely? Some people just can't mind their own business. I mean, I know you're all troubled, but don't take it out on me.
I walk to my office, scan my eye and finger, and the doors open. As I approach my desk after taking off my coat, I see what everyone was looking at.
There was a red rose on top of a shoebox in the middle of my desk.
"He couldn't have," I whisper to myself. It is the brand of heels I love so much.
I walked closer and slowly lifted the lid, anticipation surging through me.
"Oh my God," I say, crying slightly at how sweet this was. It was the pair of heels I saw while shopping a few days ago. I would have bought them, but we were shopping for food, not heels.
I took the shoes out of the box to see them up close. He got my size right, of course, because I kept crying softly until I heard my phone buzzing in my handbag. I rummage through all the crap and find it, a text from Alessandro.
Bear: I hope these are happy tears, Princess. A car will pick you up at 6 and take you home to get dressed. We have a date, wear the heels.
