The moon hung high in the night sky, casting a pale glow over the quiet town. Serena lay in her hotel room, unable to sleep, her thoughts consumed by one person: Ash. Restlessness had driven her to the window, where she watched him training outside, his silhouette bathed in the soft moonlight.

His dedication to his Pokémon, the way he pushed himself to be the best Trainer he could be – it all filled Serena's heart with admiration and, she couldn't help but admit, love. She'd tried to keep her feelings hidden, fearing that they might jeopardize their deep friendship.

As Serena stared at Ash, frustration welled up within her. Unable to contain herself any longer, she muttered under her breath, "Ash Ketchum, why did you have to be so amazing? Why did I have to fall for you?"

She was lucky no one heard her whispered confession, for it was meant only for the night air. She turned away from the window and let out a muffled scream into her pillow, trying to release some of the pent-up tension.

Desperate for answers, Serena turned to her loyal Sylveon, who was curled up beside her on the bed. "Sylveon," she whispered, her voice filled with exasperation, "why is he so amazing?"

Sylveon blinked sleepily, its large ribbon-like ears twitching in response to her question. It stretched lazily, looking at Serena with half-closed eyes.

"Some help you are," Serena grumbled playfully, her frustration giving way to a small smile. She couldn't stay angry with her Pokémon for long. "Well, I suppose we'll just have to figure this out on our own, won't we?"

As Serena settled back into her bed, her thoughts drifted back to Ash outside, training under the moonlight. She couldn't deny that his passion and determination were part of what had drawn her to him in the first place. And even though she cursed the situation in her moments of frustration, deep down, she wouldn't have it any other way.
